I can’t believe I’m living in a time period, in which Islam is looking so heinous to everyone. Before 911, no one looked into Islam much, muslims were not discriminated in the USA, and people had no clue who Muhammad was and didn’t care.
Then 911 happened, and fine we went to war in two countries. One for doubtful reasons. And one for reasons of fighting Taliban as terrorists, and now USA is saying they’re NOT terrorists? WTF?
Meanwhile, this ISIS crap has become increasingly atrocious every day. What the hell? Is this all just bad propaganda in the west or these people really are that crazy? I have so much trouble believing that any human could do such horrible things and take pleasure in publicizing their beheadings like this.
How many people were beheaded by Rasulullah?
This stuff just shakes one’s iman, and sometimes, even I’m left wondering whether I’m part of the right religious community.

When they are beheading japanese journalists, then you really wonder what the hell its all about. I agree.
But its a war zone, and such things are unfortunately quite common in war zones. The only difference is that they are a rebel group, not the military of a state, therefore they freely broadcast their atrocities, without any remorse or fear of repercussions (on political level).
If atrocities from other war zones, past or present, were broadcasted this freely, we would have been just as appalled. War is ugly, no matter who is conducting it.
Its disgusting of them to give their heinous crimes a religious underlying. Hence why its important for the scholars of the teligion to not adhere to ambiguity, and confuse the followers any further, but rather in clear cut words take a stand against these atrocities without any ifs and buts.

Strong faith in Islam requires one to persevere. If it is making you a better human then its the right faith for you. However you are the judge of that. Regardless of ISIS or other groups committing heinous crimes in Islams name.
On the bright side, First all female mosque is opening in U.S. There will be a female Imam. Time to take back the faith from the hands of wahabi arabs and mullahs from Pak.
If USA was a weak country, then atrocities carried out by the US government would make Americans look bad and their loyalty to the country would be shaken.

The press is very anti-Muslim as well though. And the press shapes the minds. ISIS are pure filth and scum and I am sure every sane person, Muslim or not, will say that. Sure Muslims have a lot of improving to do, I think noone will deny that. We lag behind everywhere on every indicator. Our countries are poor, common folk can’t get justice etc but the press don’t help. Not a day goes where toilet paper rags like Daily Mail or Fox News incite the common folk vs Muslims.
‘‘2 Muslim men rob…’’ ‘‘Muslim man kills’’ as if the everyday crime is motivated by religion, how ridiculous. The press would be in outrage if the headlines were ‘‘black man’’ or ‘‘Jewish man’’. Muslims try and be quiet about mosques abroad and its labelled as sneaky, they try and publicise it by announcing it and they’re taking over as an example. Its absurd.
Being an apologist for terrorism or such disgusting acts is disgusting enough. But blatantly tarnishing billions of people due to mindless few is sickening too.
On the flip side…Islam has seen many, many, many converts to the the faith post the 911 tragedy.
It’s not only that people are attacking Islam…it seems that people are pulling away from religion in general. If it’s not pulling away…then they are very, very lax about following their religion.
I could be wrong, but maybe this turning both away and against religion is supposed to happen. It will make it easier for Dajjal/Antichrist to get the masses to both believe/follow him if people don’t have any former religious belief systems firmly rooted in their hearts and daily lives.
Whenever I hear about the blasphemy cartoon cases the negative aspects attached to hazrat Muhammad (saw) are muslim stereotypes common today. So ironically when Muslims protest the cartoons they’re just protesting what headlines Muslims are making. Homes of Christians were burnt down in Lahore. So are people who know nothing about Islam going to assume that Hazrat Muhammad (saw) says that minorities should be burnt down. Hell yes.
While the media is increasingly responsible for skewed interpretations I do feel like in Pakistan at least we’re making a massive hash of what it means to be a Muslim. We have a massive population that is deliberately being kept illiterate and religion is being used to oppose any talks. You cannot even start talking about education, vaccination, contraception, women voting in elections, violence against women, violence in general, hate mongering against minorities without someone bringing in religion in a way that suits them. That passive death of any kind leeway in interpretation is what is going to kill Muslims and not fundo groups creating chaos.
The US government never formally legally declared the Taliban to be a terrorist organization. The official justification given for fighting them was that the Taliban regime protected terrorists.
The Taliban is not currently on, nor has ever been removed from, the US State Department;s list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations.
