What do you expect in jungle, anyway ? ![]()
It is like crying over spoiled milk while whole farm and livestock is still burning in wild fire
Re: Muslims attacking Christians YET AGAIN in Pakistan
Minorities have never been safe in Pakistan. What a shame.
Re: Muslims attacking Christians YET AGAIN in Pakistan
Quote from the news:
* According to reports, more than 70 armed militants invaded the village, demolishing three homes*** before police intervened. **
My hats off to the law-enforcement officers who protected the villagers from this Jihadi fasad.
Down with Jihadis.
Also I appeal to the Pakistani Christians not to use the foul ways of using loudspeakers. We have had enough with this noisy invasion of privacy by the Mullahs.
During my trips to Europe and Americas, I have never seen churches using loudspeakers to broadcast the sermon. And I have always admired this civilized way of worship.
Pakistanis (both Christians and Muslims) should learn from the West in terms of worshiping quietly instead of blaring through nasty loudspeakers.
Our prayers are with Pakistani minorities.
Peace.
Re: Muslims attacking Christians YET AGAIN in Pakistan
I say.... punish these fasadi in the most brutal way that it would be a lesson for rest of the wana be Jihadi D*heads.
I cant believe these jahil lunatic dont consider minorities pakistani.
What a shame.

Even in India , christians don't use loud speakers for prayers
Re: Muslims attacking Christians YET AGAIN in Pakistan
Bigger shame is that neither have the majority been safe too.

Neither do majority of churches in Pakistan. It was just the referenced news item that talked about the use of loud speakers by the churches.
I think this menace of loud speakers should be banned even for Azan. These days every Tom Dick and Harry (Anwar, Aslam, and Akram) have access to cell phone, and watches etc. They can download prayer alarms and what not.
This medieval (emphasis on evil) practice of using 100 Mega watt speakers should be banned. Anyone violating the ban should be given shariah punishment of head chopping or limb dismemberment (just kidding I man sever punishment).

I agree and I don't understand why people don't put themselves in other's shoes to get an idea of how would they feel if someone did the same to them? That ought to change their minds, but only if people think before they take action.
Re: Muslims attacking Christians YET AGAIN in Pakistan
I am gonna get warning for that BUT U PEOPLE DON"T know **** ABOUT PAKISTAN.
Keep your pie holes zipped.
Minorities are treaded better in pakistan then any Freakin 3rd word country.

Yeah Ka. Only few times our Wahabi Jiahdis go berserk and suicide-bomb a Shia Imam Bargah, a brelvi gathering, or some poor Christian church.
Other than that, we treat our minorities bery bery good.

Why should muslim majority ruled countries ban Azan on loud speakers? Sorry this comment of yours is way out of line. Minorities need to learn to respect and tolerate some of our cultural aspects just as we do when in non-muslim countries. Please stop exagerating about 100 mega speakers, this is not a rock concert. I am sure muslim do not get annoyed by hearing the call to prayer, maybe with a few exceptions.

USResident
Antiobl want to ban it because it creates a lot of Sound pollution
if you have a 5 mosques in your street, do each mosque play azan on loud speakers, then how much sound pollution it creates you know
Re: Muslims attacking Christians YET AGAIN in Pakistan
^or we can set up a noice pollution standard.
Using equipment under $40.
But oh wait a sec....
its pakistan...... we have million for bombs and no money for social structure ..

Thank you Lakkis.
In true Islamic traditions, a Muazzin (prayer caller) should use his natural voice and say the Azan (prayer call). Anyone who is out of reach of his natural voice should use a watch, pda, cell phone, wall clock, grand-father clock, internet, computer apps etc. to figure out the time of prayer.
These items of time keeping were not available in the time of Muhammad pbuh, so we should use our heads and eyes to keep time for every important aspect of lives.
The same way, Khutba and other sermons should be delivered within the boundary of the building. No noise should leak out, unless it is a mega even in some big stadium.
Let's not make it Muslim majority vs. minority etc. At least you should have learned something from the noise ordinance / pollution from your host country aka USA.
Peace and salaams.

Noise pollution standards are in place in Pakistan. Mullahs don't obey it. They want to live in some 1000 years old bidu tribal life. They are not compatible with modern civilized ways.
Peace and Salaams.
Re: Muslims attacking Christians YET AGAIN in Pakistan
Dude you make them obey it here--now.
Or you get a pakistan like hmmmmmm as we have in 2007

I’m sure the noise levels at home are more detrimental than Azan, if you could prove that the decibels we receive from the Azan coming from masajid is greater than that generated in our own homes, then you could argue to lower the volume but not on a baseless attitude inclination.
Lakkis
Yes i agree the density of masajid is much greater in our countries but it is not unbearable as we are projecting it here. Muslims living in countries such USA have to other choice but to rely on clocks and calendars and much of the fervour involved in getting called to prayer goes to the wayside because of that. Its just when Azan is sounded and people respond by marching towards the masajid, it has a compeeling effect of others as well. And a good one. I agree it some cases it may be a bit louder than it should be but then there are no cases of buildings being shattered or cracks appearing because of Azan to be noted. We are not talking about Sadr in Karachi where buildings vibrate because pressue hrons from local buses. Please keep the comparison appropriate is what I mean, no exageration.
Noise pollution is only a problem in highly commerical areas because of traffic and other activities. Masjids are normally silent except for 5 times a day and that does not contribute to noise pollution. Lets be realistic here.
Re: Muslims attacking Christians YET AGAIN in Pakistan
Glad you found my post as amusing. You won’t be laughing if you had lived in a Mohalla (middle class or lower class neighborhood) next to not one but many mosques.
In very posh areas, affluent residents can sometimes convince the Mullah to lower the volume.
Otherwise it is a rock concert in your galli (street) all the time. It is not even azan anymore, every color of Mullah has his own little bansri (flute) to play in the form of morning sermons, saying darood (praise of Mohammad and his all), mid afternoon snack-sermon, and after-Isha supper-sermon.
This is how Mullah wants to make sure you “listen” to him.
You my friend live in the USA and romaticize Mullahs. Well that’s your right and privilege of being the first-world citizen. We’ll simply follow what you guys say. Happy now?
You know Lakkis, you guys in India are really Lakkis (no pun intended). You send your educated folks to America and they bring back-home smart educated young men / women, IT, BPO, and other businesses.
We in Pakistan are Un-Lakkis that our educated folks in America and UK bring back Mullahism, Azanism, and in the worst case terrorism.
May be Pakistani will remain Un-lukkis in this case and for a long time. As I seriously doubt that USresidents will raise the next generation as an open minded Americans who could get us in Pakistan out of the Arabic mess.
oh well I guess this is our qismat (fate).
