Isn't that one of the fundamental claims of Islam that it is the same religion (in terms of the fundamental teachings) that God sent to Adam, Moses, Abram, Jesus, and Mohammad (pbu them all). The "bugs" were actually caused by the people who would distort the original teachings and necessitate a "service pack".

100% true. Allah likes them and even in Quran it is written that there are righteous Jews among the MAJORITY… Unless their Torah is not corrupted, they will accept the Last Prophet too.

Every human being is born Muslim. It is their parents who make them Hindu, Christian, Jew etc.

It is fine. Also muslim scholar many of them say that all prophet preached same fundamental beliefs so according to them all the followers (who did not change the teaching of prophet of their time ) were muslim. It is again fine for me.

AQ- The two religions are not mutually exclussive, like say Islam and hinduism... Rather there are too many similarities...

I think large portion of quran (roughly one third) is dedicated to jewish history, beliefs and stories ...

One thing i know about their concept of God, is that its very anthropomorphic. In Islam the concept of God is totally opposite.

Shariah as we all know was very incomplete, in pre-Muhammad (sas) times, while some of the previous laws were totally changed in the new Shariah. For eg. the issue of Sajdah. You were allowed to do Sajdah to others in Pre-Muhammad times. As we know, Prophet Yaqoob (as) and his sons did Sajdah to Prophet Yousuf (as). But in the Shariah of Muhammad (sas), Sajdah to anyone but Allah, was made Haram.

Hence any Jew, who converts to Islam…would need to take Muhammad (sas) as his Prophet and follow his Shariah and his teachings, just like any other Muslim.

Shariah is not just mixing of foods I am sure you know. Do you also know that “interest” is made “halal” in Jewish shariah, they can charge non-Jews (Gentiles?) interest but not amongst each other, while interest is “haram” in Islam. Jews are “permitted” to deceive/cheat non-Jews (which may very well be a man-made modification), Islam doesn’t (don’t bring up the bad deeds of Muslims to counter that plz). Besides, as already pointed out, once new shariah is revealed previous sharia’s are annulled/cancelled and you have to follow the new one.

As it is a common practice among muslims to hide behind scriptures and shy away saying Look Islam is best but its followers are worst, it hardly helps the cause ...

Just because there are thousands of fualts with muslims, so it is better to be humble rather proclaiming ourselves best of the best ...

Better focus on similarities... they heavily outnumber dissimilarities. So better to cherish what is common First

AQ Do you think Jews do not submit to Allah ? Do they worship other God(s) ? If basic beleif are the same than what is the problem. If it is the rituals then we all know that there is so much variation in different islamic sect about rituals and Fig'ha

I know one thing according to Quran, Allah says that there is no salvation for people who worship anyone besides him, other than that there is chance for everyone who believe in him.

Regarding prophet Muhammad, Jews knew him as Prophet from the day one. Learned jews knew him like they knew their parents and family, The righeous ones accepted him after some varifications .... Jewish traditions are overflowing with prophesis about him and every minute details...

Thats why Allah said in Quran

for me this is a simple question. Moses was a prophet send down by god to give a small group of people the Israelites Islam. They followed the teachnigs of Islam. It's just that the teachings and beliefs have been changed to give those in power, priests and kings what they want e.g. power and wealth.

as pointed out by AQ, the man-made-changes are incorporated in the scripture so how’d you reallly know what is and what is not man-made-law? this is one of the biggest reasons to not follow those laws anymore.
