I have problem with linking expression of disgust for homosexuality with denial of right to safety and security of Muslims. That is a pretty big issue. In a broader context, this has been happening in many other areas, for example Muslims being asked to give up their claim to rule their lands if they want to live in peace. Conditioning people’s political rights with their safety and security, is political blackmail. Many vegans say they find people who eat meat disgusting. I don’t mind that nor deny their rights to safety and security.

Here is the thing: you are REEing about the political blackmail of Muslims over a little keyboard spat where someone pointed out the irony of homophobic Muslims (especially those that live in the the west). That is literally it. Literally no one is going over to your home and forcing you with a weapon to be pro-LGB if you want legal protections. Instead, someone created a thread pointing out the irony of people who dehumanize gay people (especially in The West) using bad logic that can be used against them as a group. No one is justifying anything. How many times are you going to REE about “herp derp that is blackmail.” It’s not. The example of overzealous vegans is even more dumb because vegans…are not a group that has major political power. They are a fringe group whose opinions affect no one outside of their group. But homophobic Muslims? All you have to do is travel to any Muslim-majority country to see what rabid homophobia + political power can do.
