muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

hi everybody,
need your opinions on a married muslim woman having friendship with non-muslim males.why do muslim men start boiling over this issues.i have a few good non-muslim male friends but most of the muslim community looks at me as if i committing a sin.
tell me whats wrong with it.does religion prohibits it?

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

hi aneeqam, there are quite a few muslim man haters here. the ladies here generally refer to them as pigs. welcome to gupshup.

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

As long as you know your limits, friendship always was and always will be a gesture of respect and trust. Its one of the more purer things in life, like religion. Be sure your husband (if u have one) is ok with this, if hes ok and you're ok then its all ok.

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

Its because of sick mentalities like the one displayed above that ppl will always have issues when a desi female has male friends, muslim or non-muslim.

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

whats wrong with having a friend who is not muslim? and so what if he is male, as long as both of you know that you are friends then so be it.

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

no its because of him that black people are switching to golf.

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

yea ofcourse your hubby will get suspicous..god knows what ur doing behind his back..

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

religion does place conditions on interaction with na mehrams, though I dont think the issue there is of whether theyre Muslim or not.

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

Are’nt you the psycho that has a tight leash around mysteriousgirl???

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

If you are working, some interaction with males is inevitable, however, if u mean that they are ur friends like u call them over, hug'em etc, then this is not allowed in Islam.

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

i have been bought up to believe that married men should should not talk freely with other women regardless if they are muslim or not. the same implies to women also. its something to to with satans influence whom is third party. depending on the situation and circumstances on a day to day basis one thing can lead to another. dont get me wrong there are hundreds of men and women who have friends of the opposite sex. there are times when a husband may not have time for his wife due to tensions and he needs his space. now a wife may feel neglected and turn her attention to her male friend ,colleage.or associate. thus when the male friend could take advantage but it works both ways.

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

Honey the guys who get pissed off at you for having male friends are the same ones lusting over and fking their (muslim or non) gfs every night. :)

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

thanks guys and gals
obviously every sane married woman knows her limits .the thing is people(our very own community) would come up with these bizarre, suspicious stories all by themselves.non-muslim men really want to know about islam and its views abt women, as they think we muslims are woman-bashers,force our women into marriages and beds etc.
so the first thing a non-muslim guy would ask," is it ok with your husband and community if we have a little chat"
why do we have to see things from a bad, narrow point-of-view.
already the world has a very crude pic of us.

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

no hugging in this case but can we shake hands especially when they put their hand forward?
what to do ,wouldn’t it be rude not to?

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend

Re: muslim woman and non-muslim male friend
