So after the London attacks, there were what… more than five threads about the whole incident? At this point we don’t even know who is responsible or behind it, yet in every single thread on GS people have brought up Islam, Muslims and terrorists. In fact I believe most of them need no confirmation, they don’t want it - as far as they are concerned Muslims and Islam were behind it all.
Why is it that terrorists are never mentioned as Americans, Canadians, Pakistanis, Indians , Iraqis or such. Why “Muslims” ? I have had it.
Because when terrorists quote scripture and have names like mohammad and end each diatribe with a quaranic quote, adopt names of their outfits like Mohammad e this and Lakshar o Allah..sorry kiddo..they are not represting Japan or china or India or Pakistan. They have purposefully decided to invoke religious imagery. You, as a muslim should be pissed...livid...angry as hell..but not at the media or the term "islamic terrorist"..but at Mohammed Khalifa who blows up a bus, but before that tapes a video segment holding a quran, surrounded by his partners in crime (holla) from Islamic Jihad and talks about the vitrues of killing infidels and ends the statement with Allah ho Akbar.
That would make me mad as hell, if I was a king or a queen of that religion.

Mamaof3 -- People dont hear beyond "Muslim" terrorists. Or rather they don't think beyond it. Exactly how much longer are the rest of the Muslims going to have to defend themselves. After awhile one feels like saying to hell with what people think of Muslims and Islam.

Realistically, in most cases other than American media, the label tends to be used to reflect the cause that the group in question is fighting for.
The IRA, despite consisting exclusively of Catholics, was always identified as being "Irish" terrorists rather than "Catholic" terrorists because the cause they fought for was Irish nationalism.
Hamas tends to be described as "Islamic" militants, because their ideology stresses the religious cause.
The PLO and PFLP were never really described as "Islamic" militants and instead were labelled "Palestinian" militants, because their ideology was founded on Palestinian nationalism.
