I dont think the Quran explicitly states that Music is haram.
However we do find through ahadith and sunnah that is is indeed haram.

Please be so kind as to define the term munafiq. As I understand it, a munafiq is someone who claims to be a muslim, but inside harbours the beliefs of the kuffar - including shirk.
