So back to my question…why isn’t Muslim Marine being recognized by Muslims since he is in fact doing the Muslim community a service. Even if you consider him Ahmadi and non-Muslim he is still affiliating himself with Muslims and making an effort to clear their name.

Hi Reha.
Once again I have no knowledge and no stance about who actually is muslim and who is not.
Specially when one is wanting to be one.
How ever I could give you one example of more extreme nature which to me seems like some what relevant.
Raza arsalan, is pretty famous in defending muslims and presenting islam, but in his book “zealot” he calls Jesus(as) as God.
So that reminded me of my Cousin who told me, why they can not take mental patient as witness, be cause, once they tried, after giving accurate account of incident, when mental patient was asked, “what were you doing when this was happening” he said “I was asleep the whole time”

Now we can use all the support from every one, but I don’t know if you want to put some in driving seat who can say funny thing about basic of the belief. With all due respect ahmdis do have things which sound out of the place, comparing to generalized image/concept of islam.
