Also try not to confuse yourself with social injustice and islam. SA and Somalia women have injustice not because Islam told them so.
Our problem is that we have so called islamic scholars who make things up and those who are lazy and do not read Quran and life of the prophet (SAW) follow these false scholars and there are people like you who blame Islam for it.
Same rules for women exist in other religions my friend. People just do no folow them but know that hey are doing something against their religious teaching.
There are many many examples where women were given due respect by Islam and where existing society did all the wrong doings against women.
Just read and study with open mind.
