THE GOVERNMENT IS COMMITTING A MISTAKE... he should have been executed without a TRIAL. he must be subject to what he chose for others when he was in power...
and before sending him to Hell.. inshaAllah... i say make a replica of Guantanamo bay and torture him just like how americans are torturing innocent muslims who pakistan under Mush "sold" for bounty.
Really? That's a really extreme comment bro. There is no clear evidence that Musharraf sold anybody and he consistently denies this allegation. Anyways I see Musharraf as an only hope otherwise Nawaz is going two steps ahead of Zardari.

Re: Musharraf’s treason trial
Recently a person known to me claimed that Musharraf sold many Pakistanis to USA for dollars, and I told him that not to lie. He said that he was not lying, rather it is mentioned in Musharraf book (In line of fire), and I asked him if he read the book. He said that he did not, but heard that Musharraf wrote in his book that he sold many Pakistanis to America. When I told him that whatever he heard is lie, he asked me that how it is possible that many anchors on TV and journalists claimed Musharraf did sell Pakistanis to USA. I then told him that these TV anchors and Journalists are Lanati … as those who lie to malign or harm someone are Lanatis.
He got upset and told me that I calling TV anchors and journalists Lanatis is big sin … so I told him that it is sin if they were not lying but if they were lying then to call them Lanati is not sin, rather calling spade a spade. He asked me if I can prove they are lying and I showed him the book … that quietened him.
Fact is that, those who read the book and still say that Musharraf sold Pakistanis to USA for dollars, then they lie and thus are Lanati (because they intentionally lying) … and I believe all TV anchors and journalists must have read Musharraf book, so if they still claim that Musharraf sold Pakistanis to USA and that he mentioned that in his book, then these TV anchors and journalists are all Lanati liars. As for those who did not read the book but got misguided by Lanati liars, they are still big sinners.
Since Shogun47 quoted Musharraf book, while quoting Shogun47 followed what Jews used to do regarding Taurah, and that was, showing half what is written to misguide people and hide the rest.
Anyhow, to clear what Musharraf wrote, I am putting down relevant rest (if anyone wants to, I can put down whole chapter ‘Manhunt’ that talks about arrest of some A-Q members and how they got arrested). Before putting down, let me explain something that is mentioned in his book.
1: When Musharraf mentioned Al-Q in his book, it does not include Pakistanis or Afghans. It only includes those nationals who were neither Pakistani nor Afghans (and that is the term used even today).
2: In his book, Musharraf wrote that whoever of Al-Q got caught, they were first offered to their respective countries and when their respective countries decline to accept them then only they were given to USA, and USA awarded the people who caught them (people on ground) with dollars.
It is obvious even from Musharraf book that Al-Q mentioned were not Pakistanis or Afghans, as it would have been illogical to write that Pakistan offered those arrested to Pakistan or Afghanistan and they (Pakistan or Afghanistan) declined to accept them … (given to USA meant giving to Afghanistan first anyhow, so offering wanted Afghans to Afghanistan and Afghanistan did not accepted them hence they were given to USA, is ridiculous). Actually, in his book, Musharraf used the word foreigners for them, confirming that those given to USA, they were not Pakistanis.
Now … here what Musharraf wrote … whole chapter (chapter 23 … page 237 … to Page 243) on people handed over to USA and bounties collected (I am only putting down earlier part of the chapter … though I could post whole chapter if anyone wants to):
CHAPTER 23 … In the line of fire … Page 237 to Page 243 (Manhunt)
MANHUNT
Since shortly after 9/11, when many members of al Qaeda fled War torn Afghanistan and crossed the border into Pakistan, we have played cat and mouse with them. The biggest of them all, Osama bin Laden, is still at large at the time of this writing, but we have caught many, many others. Some are known to the world, some are not. We have captured 689 and handed over 369 to the United States. **We have earned boun-ties totaling millions of dollars. **Those who habitually accuse us of “not doing enough” in the war on terror should simply ask the CIA how much prize money it has paid to the government of Pakistan. Here, I will tell the stories of just a few of the most significant man-hunts.
Abu Zubeida, a Palestinian national whose real name is Zain-ul-Abideen, was the first high-ranking member of al Qaeda caught after the 9/11 attacks, which he had helped plan. He was the chief recruiter and trainer of al Qaeda operatives. The CIA had offered a $5 million reward for his capture.
After 9/11, Abu Zubeida came to Pakistan but remained elusive by continually moving among thirteen sites in three cities—nine in Faisal-abad, one in Karachi, and three in Lahore. Nonetheless, we learned about his movements by catching lower-level operatives and proceed-ing on human intelligence. All thirteen sites were raided simultaneously by Pakistani intelligence agents supported by our law enforcement agencies, on the night of March 27,2002. Agents from the CIA assisted in the location of sites through technical intelligence. The mission was successful: Abu Zubeida was caught and arrested along with twenty-seven of his al Qaeda associates, all of them foreigners— thirteen Yemenis, three Saudis, three Libyans, three Palestinians, one Russian, one Moroccan, one Sudanese, and two Syrians, one of whom was killed and the other injured. Abu Zubeida was handed over to the United States on March 30, 2002.
The policy followed by Pakistan on the extradition of foreigners has been first to ask their countries of origin to take them back. If a country of origin refuses (as is normally the case), we hand the prisoner over to the United States.
This was our single biggest catch at that time, not just numerically but in terms of importance. Those were the early days, when al Qaeda operatives were still fleeing from Afghanistan into Pakistan. After Abu Zubeida’s arrest, they thought twice about this and started coming in smaller numbers.

Musharraf in court as treason hearing resumes - DAWN.COM
ISLAMABAD: The treason hearing against Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf resumed after the former president reached the special court, formed to try him for treason, amid strict security arrangements from his farmhouse to the court premises and around it, DawnNews reported.
The arrival of the former military ruler was followed by the arrivals his counsel and the judges hearing the case under Article 6 of the constitution.
The court on Jan 1, had ordered for Musharraf to appear before the bench today and also warned of issuing a ruling, in case the former president did not appear. Moreover, the legal team of the former military strongman had also filed a plea in the special court to exempt him from appearing before it on account of threats to his security.
Re: Musharraf’s treason trial
Musharraf moved to hospital - DAWN.COM
ISLAMABAD: In an interesting turn of events surrounding the treason trial of Pervez Musharraf, the former army strongman was shifted to the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology in Rawalpindi after suddenly developing a medical complication while en route towards the special court.
The special court which had summoned the retired general on Jan 2 was hearing the case and had ordered the former dictator to appear in court before 11:30, warning that warrants for his arrest would be issued in case of failure to comply with the court’s orders.
Earlier during the day, the court took a short recess following a walk out staged by Musharraf’s counsel.
The former military strongman had not appeared for today’s hearing whereas his lawyer Anwar Mansoor had walked out of the special court citing lack of sleep due to alleged disturbances outside the door of his residence the previous night. Mansoor said he had never experienced anything like it in his 40-year career.
Moreover, the head of Musharraf’s defence team, senior lawyer Sharifuddin Pirzada, claimed that the chief prosecutor in the case, Advocate Akram Shaikh, had hurled threats to him via Barrister Ibrahim Satti, who is another counsel for the former president.
Advocate Pirzada had further hinted that his client may appear before the special court today.
The court had taken a short recess to resolve the issues of the disgruntled lawyer of the former military strongman.
The treason hearing against Musharraf had resumed amid strict security arrangements on the route from his farmhouse to the court premises and in surrounding areas.
The security arrangements made over the expected arrival of the former president included mobile phone jammers, at least 1,000 police personnel, deployment of containers to cordon off traffic and bomb scanners.
The court on Jan 1, had ordered for Musharraf to appear before the bench today and had also warned of issuing a ruling in case he did not appear. Moreover, Musharraf’s legal team had also filed a plea in the special court to exempt him from appearing before it on account of threats to his security.
Former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf is being prosecuted under Article 6 of the Constitution for imposing an emergency in the country on Nov 3, 2007 and for detaining members of the superior judiciary.
