Afghan President Hamid Karzai has insisted he has a good relationship with Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf.
Calling General Musharraf his “brother and friend”, Karzai said he has “deep respect” for the General.
In an interview to Pakistan Television, Karzai said he discussed all issues with General Musharraf during his meeting with the latter in Ankara.
“We discussed everything openheartedly … I and President Musharraf embraced each other, shook hands with each other, we shared dinner and lunch together so it is wrong to say that we did not shake hands with each other,” said Karzai.
He said while Afghan officials did make complaints to their Pakistani counterparts with respect to the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan, but “these should be seen complaints of a brother against a brother”.
