Re: Musharraf or CJ ?
I have lost faith in Musharaf.. He has let me down and im sure many others on many occasions.
I dont know who is this CJ is, but under him, many people got a fair hearing, and we had the immpression that the Judiciary was somewhat independant.
So I support the CJ, if only for what he has come to represent, the freedom of the judiciary... A free and independant Supreme court, the hallmark of a true democracy is paramount over an unconstitutional military regime which has no place in politics or in running a govt.
The Army has become a parasite, its time we sent them packing once and for all.
I dont know what we will get after Musharaf leaves, but I would rather perfer a democratically elected govt over this. For all its faults, democracy is worth putting up with. It is the lesser of two evils.
Under democratic rule, we have Economic hardships...
Under military, we have had political turmoil, and even cival war and the break up of the country...
Take your pick as to which is better.
