Not really. The Quran clearly says not to take Jews or Christians to be your leaders/friends/allies (depends on the translation of the word awliya).
Now unless I am missing something from that particular verse, (5:51) maybe you could educate me on that verse's tafsir. Or maybe you have a different Quran than I do.

I am not too familiar with the Jews being banned to pray. An Israeli friend of mine who I used to work with, his grandfather used to have lunch with us. He never mentioned anything of the sort, though he did have some good war stories. Is there a law which you can reference here?
