Police dresses in cilvilins torturing a journalist. What a patheic act. Shame on all these police walas for their brutal treatment on civilians, government for supporting them, and people. People who support such acts, come up with all sorts of statements to defend mushy, his government, or these criminal and brutal acts against the people.
Re: Musharraf Lets Hounds Loose On Journalists and Lawyers
...^^ did you watch the video of multan protest when lawyers torture police officers. Well what so ever , as President said "do teen pharka dene chahyia" I am all with him. He needs to show true dictator face and everything will be alright. A question is coming in my mind, how many seats pti will win in election?
Re: Musharraf Lets Hounds Loose On Journalists and Lawyers
This is not PTI. Stop bringing PTI and Imran in every thread. How many times you want mushy to show his true face. This is just pathetic.

Since police walas do most of the torturing they deserve taste of their own medicine.
Re: Musharraf Lets Hounds Loose On Journalists and Lawyers

Re: Musharraf Lets Hounds Loose On Journalists and Lawyers

Why we should not use nukes or bio weapons on tribals, because they are humans yeh right. Wipe them out the only solution.

I have come across few expats from tribal area and they tell me that most people do not like Taliban. Its not just to kill those a\who are innocent.

This is absolutely horrible to see this video. There can never be any justification whatsoever. These few Policemen bring bad name to an otherwise good organization.
The ones caught on video should be brought to justice.
There is no date on this video shots. When was it done?
p.s. You have to understand that there were many more journalists who are seen taking pictures. They were not touched by the police. Only few were picked. Why?
Re: Musharraf Lets Hounds Loose On Journalists and Lawyers
Horrific scenes...Brutal police, but then we see such beatings from Italian police, French police and some other "police states" police men too.
I will not justify the wrong doings by our police, but I have seen generally a hard approach by the police in other countries. Things have changed and so has the police. I believe police has more rights then ever.

Good response by our media, fighting back for media freedom that we as a country need :jhanda:

Musharraf asked to apologise for threatening journalist
ISLAMABAD, Jan 28: Journalists of Rawalpindi and Islamabad took out a procession on Monday to protest President Pervez Musharraf’s remarks against a senior journalist at a function in London.
The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) in a statement also demanded an apology from the president. “It is most unfortunate that a head of state has incited people to violence, and that too in a foreign country, against journalists,” the statement said.
It said the PFUJ had been advocating tolerance in the society while the president was preaching intolerance and asking people to resort to violence.
“Pakistani journalists do not need a certificate of patriotism from dictators or authoritarian rulers who have no respect for the constitution, judiciary and media,” it said.
