Aww umm did I say that? The fact is Ex-servicemen society includes 100s of ex generals including ex army chiefs, and just b/c Hamid Gul is part of that org by default doesn't mean they all support talibanic ideology.

we should not bring the religious thing in this discussion. i know some saints have said about "nishaat e saniya"of islam but we dont know in which sense or reference they have talked about it. kya pata wo kuch aur kehna chah rahay hon aur hum kuch aur samaj rahay hon.
aur phir isi pay believe ker lena k jo unho nay bola hai 100% correct hai aur aesa hi hoga is i think bit wrong.

Very good and interesting point. Nothing helps the terrorists more than their promotion. That's why the media in the West is very careful about what they show, and follow a code of conduct regarding this.

As far as i think General Kiyani is doing good job so far, he is calling back millitary personals from the civil services and has shown clear intentions for keeping Army away from the Politics, that was a major blow for Musharaf, and it has taken the confidence out of him, after loosing unconditional support from military, he has been targeted of every one but the remarks of retired army generals shouldn't be taken lightly as this is the first time we saw opposition against musharaf from the army.
On the other hand, General Kiyani had made significant achievments in Wazirstan and Sawat, and Intelligence Agencies seems to be doing their original work, that is working against the enemies of Pakistan and not against he opposition.
If Pakistan Army conitnued this dis-assosiation from Musharaf, two things are eveident:
1) Army will regain its dignity
2) Musharaf will get weaker and weaker.

Its not your job, or Musharafs, to define how PEMRA laws are followed, or who is or who isnt following them. Neither is it Musharafs role in determining who is acccurate or ethical. All this falls into the realm of the judiciary (which Mush conveniently sidelined..)
There is something called defamation and yellow journalism... But if thats the accusation, then Mush should take the media to court and allow them the right to a fair trial.
By not allowing the Media a fair trial, you are effectively saying that there is no such thing as innocent until proven guilty... The consequences of such a statement are far more dangerous, and consequential then you think.
