Thanks to this law, victims of rape (women) end up in jails, and get sentences. No leader, not even Benazir has been able to modify it, or get rid of it. Its time to change it, and make sure it actually it is in collaboration with the true Islamic spirit, as right now its just being used by the rapists to get victims into trouble.
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
Ahh yes, nothing says Islam like turning victims into criminals..:)
Thanks to the Mullah brigade, such enlightened Islamic gems will be enshrined forever in our constitution! Bismillah.
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
hud-hud ordinance needs to go bye-bye
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
Hudood ordinance needs to go. It is used to victimise women rather than protect them.
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
So where is the MMA brigade now?
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
sabzi hussain has taken them to the sabzi mandi.
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
lol
i dont what hudood law has musharraf placed but compared to other islamic countries hudood laws are workin jus fine
pakistans crappy military and governments have made pakistan so poor that the easiest thing for the police to do is to blame the victim and dont give a toss bout da person who commited it.
i mean where the justice in that. i mean i thought hudood law was supposed to help us
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
huddod laws will stay. No idiotic leftist can get rid of it. anti-huddod people are actually a minority.
Allow democracy in pakistan, and lets see how many people actually support moronic anti-huddod people. All laws of the country should be passed by a DEMOCRATICLY elected parliament and not some unelected govt.
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
So Pak Brave Heart, was the Hudood Law introduced via a democratic system eh?
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
if u think changing the law is going to help, then wait and see.nach na janey angan tareha
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
The very people defending this sham law are the same ones who would rape a woman and make sure she ends up in jail as a victim. Besharam Matooz.
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
Once a 10 year old girl was tried on Hudood, but the LHRLA fought and acquitted her… This is just one small example of how the law is misused.
http://www.lhrla.sdnpk.org/hudood.html
Through the efforts of LHRLA a ten year old girl who was being tried under Hudood Ordinance, was finally acquitted after being on trial for four months. The President of LHRLA, Mr. Zia Awan, who represented Shahina, claims the police grossly misuse the Hudood Ordinance, making women helpless victims of prolonged legal battles.
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
generalizing again, any one who doesnt agree with you is the monster on the face of earth.
Hudood ordinance comes from islamic sharia, nothing wrong with the law itself, wrong with perverts who carry it out in idiotic fashion. change the laws all you want. i dont think that will solve your problem. wait a couple of years and see. want to check rape satistics since mush's came in power?
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
Wise uncle, do check the rape statistics, you will be surprised, even though not all rapes are reported anyways. This has nothing to do with Musharraf or Zia in power. This law needs to be changed, how do you explain a 10 year old girl being charged on the basis of this law? All this bakwas going on in feudal and tribal areas, honor killing etc, thats what these things lead to. This law needs to be looked at, by some in his/her senses and needs to be reviewed so that not every rapist in Pakistan can walk free, with the victim ending up behind bars. Its just like you could use the blasphemy law to get a poor christian or a hindu burnt to death in Pakistan by just claiming he was being blasphamous, without offerring him anything to defend himself.
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
bless all the anti-hudood males here.
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
It is Hudood “Ordinance”. It was introduced in Pakistani penal code through a ordinance promulgated by a military dictator called ZIA ul Haq, never went through parlimentary legislation.
Problem lies not with Hudood laws as prescribed by the Quran, issue here is how it is practiced and percieved by the aggressor, victim and those who are supposed to interprate and implement. In Pakistan, if God forbid a women decides to register a case of rape, then she has to produce 4 honorable good muslim men as eye witnesses. If she fails, then she is booked under the hudood ordinance for adultery. Now is someone going to tell me that is fine? They have to be absolutely bonkers or paid propagandists. ![]()
Re: Musharraf backs review of Hudood Ordinance
you want answer, thank to every law in pakistan, police arrest innocent people and then they hang innocent people to death. innocent people are put in jail for 1 year to life in jail. not even benazir has been able to get rid of every law in pakistan.if there is no law in pakistan and no police, not one innocent person would be put to death and not one innocent person will go to jail.
second, why you guys hate anything that as anything to do with islam. there are a lot of people who were put to death by death law in pakistan, even though they did not do the any crime,
