Musharaf meets Altaf in London...

Musharaf met the **… **Altaf Hussain in London, promising that elections will “free and fair.”
Funny how the fact that Altaf called Pakistan the biggest mistake in history is given so much repect by a man who claims to be a patirotic Pakistani…

Musharraf assures Altaf of fair polls

By Our Special Correspondent

LONDON, Jan 26: President Pervez Musharraf reassured MQM chief Altaf Hussain here on Saturday that coming elections would be fair, free, transparent and peaceful.

Mr Hussain called on the president at his hotel at around 12 noon and remained there for nearly two hours. He was accompanied by Imran Farooq and Mr Anwer. The president was aided by Gen Shafqat.

The president further assured Mr Hussain that the government would be handed over to the majority party and if there was a hung parliament then a coalition government would be formed.

He said the future prime minister would be the chief executive of the country.

Mr Hussain also raised the issue of massive losses suffered by the people in Sindh due to violence following Ms Bhutto’s assassination and asked the president to arrange compensation for those who lost property.

The president assured Mr Hussain that he had already ordered the setting up of a commission and directed it to process the matter at the earliest.

According to informed sources the two leaders also discussed post-election cooperation as well.

The president was earlier scheduled to go to Cambridge University, but the visit was cancelled and a meeting with Mr Hussain was arranged in its place.

Earlier at around noon, the lawyers’ community in the UK held a two-hour-long protest demonstration in front of the 10 Downing Street against Mr Musharraf’s visit to the UK and his alleged high-handedness against Pakistan bar and bench.

The demonstrators raised slogans for the release of deposed Chief Justice Iftikahr Chaudhry and President of Supreme Court Bar Association Aitzaz Ahsan.

Re: Musharaf meets traitor in London...

They were both discussing what blunder Qaid-E-Azam has made by creating Pakistan. Im pretty sure, both must have agreed with each other.

Re: Musharaf meets traitor in London…

hilarious :omg: but true

Re: Musharaf meets traitor in London...

....They had agreed on that a long time ago....now they are discussing what to do about it...as Aalsi has pointed out the mentality no Musharraf no Pakistan....and Musharraf's options are very limited....I hope people can wake up and see themselves what's going on...

Re: Musharaf meets traitor in London...

As long as we have Aalsi mentalities around us, I cannot believe to wake up that soon. Maybe even If we do wake up, we will be kept asleep for another decade by force. Let me emphasize on the word "FORCE".

Re: Musharaf meets Altaf in London…

Yaar, there are too many factions in Pakistan that are in it for themselves. Look at the alternatives available. This is not the 70's, 80's or 90's. This is a post 9/11 world where the countries need to make decisions based on 'with us or against us' scenario to survive.

Post 9/11 world is different, and President Musharaf has kept the warring political parties in check. Apart from Martial Law or President Musharaf, at this stage, I cannot see any other leader that can keep Pakistan together. Zardari led PPP and NS led PML (N) will be too willing to sell the country to the highest budder.

People need a reality check, and need to think with an open mind - not based on hate for a person.

God Bless Pakistan. God Bless President Musharaf for keeping Pakistan together in the post 9/11 era. The alternatives are unthinkable.

Re: Musharaf meets traitor in London...

And Musharraf has not "sold" Pakistan, we are still a "sovereign" country, our President doesn't recieve calls at 2:00AM and does not make u-turns based on those calls.

Re: Musharaf meets traitor in London...

You got his interpretation wrong.
He believes in MQM terrorists. He admires people like AH and believes Pakistan should be part of India again. Partition was a mistake and AH should be appointed PM of Pakistan. So that we see pathanistan, punjabistan, sindhistan, altafistan within Sindh to be reality one day or another. Split parties and split the nation. Thats the ideology he follows.

Re: Musharaf meets traitor in London...

No, the great President Musharaf has saved Pakistan in the post 9/11 world. God Bless 2:00 a.m. calls. Good to see people making the most of cheap rate calls. :)

Re: Musharaf meets traitor in London...

They're cheap alright, cheap shot, cheap policies, cheap mentality.......and so on and so forth.

:)

Re: Musharaf meets traitor in London...

Alhamdulilallah. Fazool kharchi sai guzair karna chahiyai. :)

Re: Musharaf meets traitor in London...

At times I believe that you bsing us all here for nothing. And we do pretend to become fools by responding on utter rubbish posted by you here.

Re: Musharaf meets Altaf in London...

They are natural allies aren't they

Re: Musharaf meets Altaf in London…

Yea they are. In the most unnatural way. One pretends to uphold democracy and gives comical speeches, the other says ‘democracy is not so important’ :rotfl:

Re: Musharaf meets Altaf in London...

The first thing they must have done is sing Altaf's new anthem "masloomon ka sathi altaf hussain"

The next thing they must have done is brainstrom a new anthem that would include Mushy's name as well...
