Most of the liberal parties are not happy with women participation in dharnas. One thing about Pti is that it has drawn people from across the board, PMLN and PPP, religious parties as well as nationalists. One constituency that used to vote for PPP was the media people, you can see many of them in Pti jalsas. You can also see the religious kind.

Fatima Jinnah worked for Pakistan alongside Quaid-e-Azam
Liberals are burning becuase Kaptaan has politicized them and now they know whom to vote
Re: Murky politics hang over Bilawal’s entry into arena
Why is the Taliban Khan drawing so much support - zealous support some would argue - from the secular middle classes, liberal youth and Westernised elite? The once upon a time pathetic smear campaign and propaganda has already been shredded into pieces. It is not going to work anymore.
Re: Murky politics hang over Bilawal’s entry into arena
Some one told me that zardari has claimed that there will be 200 people in pti’s larkana jalsa ![]()

Wait what? The Pakistani middle class is secular? This is news to me and most Pakistanis. Please do provide evidence of this.
The Mehran man is anything but secular.

On life support, PPP in Punjab is a setting sun - Blogs - DAWN.COM
“We never betrayed PPP. This area sent more workers to prison and buried more workers than any other part of Lahore, but it was Larkana that betrayed us”.
Re: Murky politics hang over Bilawal’s entry into arena
I heard an elder saying in his interview that women of Mianwali normally aren’t allowed to openly roam around on their rooftops, let alone attend political gatherings with men. This is the first time in the local history that an absolutely massive crowd of women came in a public gathering to support a cause. Imran has campaigned in Mianwali many times before, even he was simply stunned when he saw visible presence of women in his jalsa. So well done to Imran Khan for politicising the women and making them part of the political process.
But it is best to ignore all the crooks and trolls, one one hand they call him Taliban, and on the other hand, they cry about all the naach gana, rock ‘n’ roll rebellion, happy faces and free mixing in his jalsas. If he was Taliban Khan, why would women especially the educated ones from Middle and upper class as well as the ones living in Western countries support him? Why would they come to his jalsa if his ideology is to curb their freedom? Clearly the propaganda has failed and badly exposed. The worse is really over for him. The jibe Taliban Khan from these crooks is equivalent to Mullah Fazlu’s Jewish agent slur.

That was Qaim Ali Shah...who doesnt feel stupid calling a twenty-something his leader while being almost 4 times his age.
If PPP disappears, Im sure noone would miss it. They need to realize that people have started to actually think for themselves in Pakistan.
Re: Murky politics hang over Bilawal’s entry into arena
everyone of these supporters keeps yapping on, but we still ask the same question:
what are the achievements of these parties with respect to the common man of Pakistan?
Answer: absolutely nothing. None of them did anything worthwhile for the common man.

Go nawaz go
go bilawal go
go zardari go
get lost, leave pakistan
Re: Murky politics hang over Bilawal’s entry into arena
Under the legendary genius ZAB, and BB, PPP was by far the best party in Pakistan.
From Karachi to Khyber, PPP rallies attracted record numbers through the decades- 1 million in 80's Lahore. 1 million in Karachi a few years ago. No other party has even come close to this.
**BUT **now Zardari is in charge, and he has got rid of/downgraded all the good people, Aitzaz Ehsan, Raza Rabbani, etc. Even BB's loyal assistant Naheed Khan has been discarded.
Bilawal is far to young to rule, although he has shown good signs, condeming the Taliban, asking PPP supporters to forgive for his mistakes, etc.
If he shows political skill in the next,10-20 years, PPP can regain power in the National Assembly.
Otherwise they will be reduced to Sindh - where they are needed to ensure the MQM does not seperate Karachi from Sindh and Pakistan.
Re: Murky politics hang over Bilawal’s entry into arena
^ PPP needs to perform in Sindh, which is the crux of most articles I have posted here.

All is not well in kpk, but I don't think its fair to compare to kpk with Punjab and Sindh. We know the situation the province is in due to its location and the wars going on there and its surrounds for the past decade . Kpk govt is 16 months old, and for how many years PMLN and PPP are ruling in Punjab and Sindh I do not want to comment. Previous five years federal plus Sindh govt and now federal plus Punjab govt.
