Munnay kay Abba!

So, how long does Munna stay Munna?

Does he ever become Samiuddin or Iftikhar or Parvez?

I was at a party last weekend. There was this lady in front of me getting food and kept handing the food to someone behind me saying “here you go Munna”. I assumed Munna was a little kid of course. So, I tried to help out by taking the plate and handing it over to the child behind me…dont want little Munna to have to fight through a line of people.

Little do I know…Munna is actually 6’4 and not such a Munna at all…he’s taking the plate from me…“no, this is for Munna”…“I AM Munna”…:silly:

:omg: HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

It could be his nickname.

Re: Munnay kay Abba!

i have two cousins who are 31age… 6.1 .. height.. and everybody call them munna..

and yeh..they were married few months.. but the munna calling is still their.. :k:

Re: Munnay kay Abba!

Lol Munna will remain Munna for life I guess....

 Reminds me of joke

A guy drove 10 hours straight to reach to his friends home. After dinner his friend was like “aaap chaie pee leen phir aap k bed “munni” k room main laga daita hoon”

this guy (thinking k munni raat main tang karey ge, roeey gi): no no ..theek hai yaar yahaan sofery per so jaoon ga koi problem nahi hai

so he slept on sofa. next morning when they were on breakfast table, a HOT young girl around 22/23 years old walks in. Host boley

Yaar aamir in sai miloo, yee hain “munni”, maireee salee

aamir goes: aur munni hum sai miloo hum hain ullu k pathey

exactly :k:

well my granma would always call my dad as Munna ... "munnay kahan ja rahe ho" .... "munnay aagae?" etc. and for her, my mom was still "dulhan" even after 2 decades of being married.

Re: Munnay kay Abba!

^ I guess the dulhan part is cute but I just dont get the munnay part. I mean, all it does is encourage the mama-boy syndrome…:nahi:

:omg:
wht a situation :omg:

not sure if that would necessarily lead to mama’s boy effects. I mean I’ve seen in some families its just the way things naturally work out, without any conscious effort, everyone’s given some kind of affectionate nick name and it just stays with them. Doesn’t necessarily reflect their real self. Munna and Guddu just happened to be the two most commonly given nick names in the earlier generation though Munna still seems to be “in”

Re: Munnay kay Abba!

so funny…:rotfl:

Re: Munnay kay Abba!

my chacha is still munna although his kids are like 20 now...and he is not only the munna in his house...the whole khandaan calls him munna

Re: Munnay kay Abba!

Whenever I hear of 'Munna' or 'Chintoo' it reminds me of fat chubby kids :/

Re: Munnay kay Abba!

Reha, my mom is the eldest of 7 kids and her nickname is Baby :nahi:. She has grandkids now and people still call her Baby :bummer:

Re: Munnay kay Abba!

^ hahahhaha i have a cousin/aunt whose nickname is Baby too…and shes the eldest of 6. :hehe:

i have 2 cousins nicknamed bubbloo…1 here nad 1 in pak, i think the one here doesnt like it (esp since shes a 10 year old girl :nahi: )

Re: Munnay kay Abba!

I have a Baby Khala - everyone still calls her Baby...

yeah but the mom doesn't have to fend food for him... that's a little wierd..

Erm…I wouldn’t blame Munna for wanting to stay “Munna” if his real name was Iftikhar or Parvez. LOL

i also have a baby khala, she is the eldest sis in her fam and now about 55, but still baby...

Niki, my youngest Khala is called Baby. She has grown kids in their twenties and is still called Baby. She’s Baby Aunti to us…can’t picture calling her anything else, lol.
