Good news if true. There should be no excuse for people taking law of land in their own hands…good precedence of punishing murderers although there was a lot of pressure on the judiciary.

I was surprised. I wonder what tumultuous result will come of this. There will be people who won't stay quiet over this. I guess that's why they hung him on a weekend? Everyone was sleeping in ? hah.

He was hung around 5am on a Monday not a weekend and early morning is when most capital executions there occur, and I doubt it'd be any different if they did it at 5pm.

Good News.
But the reaction of public is not encouraging. They are finding reasons to justify Qadri (including from personal life of Taseer to sympathy for Aashiq e Rasool). One guy said our society is based on Ishq e Rasool and Qadri should not have been hanged but should have been imprisoned for life time.

This was an important litmus test of the state and it's commitment to not differentiate between any types of murderers.
