So should we doubt them if they say that they have seen the moon? Why aren't their shahadats considered to be reliable?
If they have seen shahadats why didnt they took any picture of it then and showed it to the media ......Its cz even the weather authorities were saying that there is only 1 percent chance of Moon sighting in Pakistan on Saturday

I'll reiterate again in the whole world (except half of Pakistan, India and Bangladesh) the Eid was today.
^ The problem that we are facing today is that considering our logic the Eid shouldnt have been in malaysia and indonesia today, and they are quite good in science and technology. There is some problem somewhere.
I'll rephrase my question again why only the subcontinent will be celebrating EID tomorrow? Do we have a different moon?
It is weird that KP government decided to go against what the meteorological department was saying. The central committee did not accept those sightings because it was impossible to see the moon, per meteorological dept.
I am watching this phenomenon since Ayub Khan’s days. What is so peculiar about it? Let the people celebrate Eid when ever they want. This is also happening in US and Canada. Making a big deal out of it is stupidity.

I actually agree with this, at one hand we cry so much about religious tolerance and on the other hand we want everyone to celebrate eid on one day. Thats a contradiction.
**KARACHI: It was impossible to sight the Shawwal moon in Pakistan on August 18 as the maximum duration between moonset and sunset was around 16 minutes in Karachi while this duration was even lesser in Peshawar and the adjoining areas, said Dr Muhammad Jawed Iqbal.
**In-charge of Karachi University’s Institute of Space and Planetary Astrophysics (ISPA), Dr Iqbal explained that “for the moon to be visible, the duration between moonset and sunset must be at least 38 minutes for the naked eye and 35 minutes for a telescope.”
