I cannot agree with you more on that. Point is, are those Mullah, real Mullah (scholars) or they think that they are Mullah and because they think that they are, so do we .. hence lose the differentiation between self claimed Mullahs and real one.
You are right.. unfortunately part of the problem is that far too many people appropriate religious authority by the label of Mulla or Molana.
But then, there is no formal clergy (atleast in sunni Islam) so one cant really control that.

Very few people call the Mullas/terrorist supporters Kafir. the thread itself is about bashing religious people. the subtext is that the criticism aimed at such people is wrong on the basis that atleast they're Muslims, atleast they're doing their 5 arkaan.
