TLK, I am sure that you will agree that some Mullas justify terrorism as Jihad. Does that equate the two? No. Does that mean that the language of "Jihadi" is misleading. Yes. However note the words in the initial thread post:
The "Mullahs" that we often term fundamentalists, or extremists, or even terrorist sympathizers are still muslims and represent muslims (whether we like it or not)
The argument is that even 'terrorist sympathisers' should not be bashed, since they are Muslims. the 'sympathiser' label is also pretty misleading, the Mullas in question can be terrorist leaders, planners and executers. We cannot offer them a blanket amnesty from criticism.
