Muka Chorangi.

What waste of space and money.

They should take that down, and have traffic lights. This will allow for free flowing traffic, and make life easier for the drivers driving through the area.

I am sure Altaf bhai, being a people person and not an egotistical maniac, would agree to this good suggestion.

Just look at the positive affect, reducing the roundabout in Lalookhet, has had on traffic.

Re: Muka Chorangi.

Don't know about Muka, but Nipa Chaurangi is quite cool. :)

Re: Muka Chorangi.

I used to go near Mukka Chorangi for tuition :hinna:

good ol’ days …

Re: Muka Chorangi.

There is another one called "Perfum Chok" what the hell is that? It is written all over Karachi particularly on garbage and filth piles or open sewers emitting "Perfum" all the time.

Re: Muka Chorangi.

Due to growing traffic demands, the local government had to replace these beautiful chowrangis with signals! Alas! Once the jail chowrangi was so lush green and beautiful! And all those lovely north nazimabad chowrangies and in my childhood times - the lovely roudabouts at Shaeed-e-millat road! They all gone now! Humans increasing and trees diappearing!

Recently many old legume and malva as well as neem, peepule and bargad trees succumbed to the newly constructed under passes!

In my childhood every house hold used to have a tree in their houses - jangble jaleebi, amrood, aam, sharifa, jamun and what not! Lovely old days!

Re: Muka Chorangi.

^ ahhh @ Jail road chorangi kia yaad dela deya :(

Re: Muka Chorangi.

There should've been some arrangement for the trees that were affecting during the reinforcement of the roads... and by the way they should really take off the fugly, disorganized banners clinging to buildings and walls around the city, and at least organize the overhead cabling < that would at least help give our city a "city-like" look. Trees, trees and more trees are what we need... if Altaf bhai cares for the city he would definitely allow us to replace his fist with helpful trees and greenery. Not to mention pollution control technology on major roads and roundabouts, that would help to reduce our air pollution by tons.

Re: Muka Chorangi.

Mustafa Kamal has asked mush and shok for a few billion ruppees appropriation in the next budget to replace the mukkah with a more recongizable and resonating symbol of Altaf, a giant pack of burnt hot dogs, to resemble his kaali moti guudi...

Re: Muka Chorangi.

Well this is not Altaf's mukka! This is Liaquat Ali Khan's mukka(even he is a disputed person)!

Re: Muka Chorangi.

^^ Oh, really? All the posters around the place are of Altaf bhai so I thought it would be Altaf Hussein's fist... although I haven't been very much raised in Pakistan so forgive my lack of historical knowledge :p.

Re: Muka Chorangi.

Have you seen how black that mukka is...It's gotta be Altaf's...

Re: Muka Chorangi.

Re: Muka Chorangi.

So Aalsi, any pictures of your beloved Muka chaurangi?

Re: Muka Chorangi.

Silly Billy, taking photographs is haram!! You should know

Re: Muka Chorangi.

Altaf Bhai would like more if the city government builds a Tomb in shape of a Mukka at Mukka chorangi as Altaf Bhai's permanent rest house. I hope he wouldn't mind if his dead body is brought from London to Karachi; Allah knows the best where Altaf Bhai will leave the air, water and food for those who deserve it more as all such things are a waste on Altaf Bhai, he is not going to be an Insaan anymore.
I hope Jamaatis would prefer to be Mujaavars at Altaf Bhai's grave, but I am not sure which song they are going to sing there; probably this one

haathiiiiiii...eeeee

ghoray jesa haathi hai altafff husainnn altaffoo husainnn
