^ Agreed. 3 yrs international ban + 2 yrs of only domestic cricket + no more problems.. and I would bring him back.

Re: Muhammad Aamir I Forgive You
Even though this incident is extremely tragic, Amir's story doesn't have much substance. The moment he passed along his account number, he knew exactly what he was doing. :(

Even though this incident is extremely tragic, Amir's story doesn't have much substance. The moment he passed along his account number, he knew exactly what he was doing. :(
but he never received any money in his account...that has been established in investigations... he claims that he passed on his account out of curiosity......now we may think that he is lying but lets just focus on facts....it has been established that once aamir came to know what ali wants, he stopped texting with him...ali texted him 40 times and aamir responded just twice as articulated by atherton based on text messages record...if aamir really wanted to do a deal with ali, he shd have hundred of messages with him once ali opened up after receiving aamir's account number and offered aamir money for doing bad stuff...on the contrary, ammir completely ignored him.
also the fact that aamir immediately texted ali with a request to delete his prior text messages once the police arrived (again there are text messages to establish this) suggest that aamir's version is not baseless....that shows that aamir was indeed thinking that he is in trouble with ICC for his texting with ali as he was led to believe by salman and mazhar..he had no clue about mazhar links with NOTW...
the fact that he did not bowl NO ballas for money and was trapped into it makes his case a bit more stronger and thus warrants some relaxation.....3 yr international ban for a teenager is enough...from 2010 to 2013...
on the other hand, if it has been established during investigations that he did it for money fully knowing terms and conditions of mazhar deal (does not seem to be the case as i never saw any details of such extent), he shd not be granted any relaxation at all.

18 years is too young - I would say he deserves to be forgiven if he is sincerley asking for it.
Re: Muhammad Aamir I Forgive You
I think he is still not telling the truth. I have seen part of interview and he makes it look like this was on-off incident and he was tricked by Salman. I do not buy this. Based on those tapes of Mazhar Majeed and NOTW guy, I think It was more prevalent that Amir would like us to believe. Let him serve his ban and then he can play. I must say he was an awesome prospect.
Re: Muhammad Aamir I Forgive You
I think it will be too much to expect him to divulge into every details of every fishy thing that happened. If he does not have any solid proof, it will be his word against theirs and who will buy a convict instead of one who isn't.
Re: Muhammad Aamir I Forgive You
If it is true that he had 8000 pounds in open bag... then i must say that this money 8k didnt mean alot to him. Someone who didnt worry about keeping 8k in safe place wudnt put his career in jepordy for 1.5k. So it wasnt about money, it was more about returning the favor.
Secondly, If he did text Ali to delete his messages then he was obviously more scared about his conversation with Ali than his conversation with Majeed. Meaning he bought what majeed did tell him, hence it cud be true that he was returning majeed just a favor.
Third putting 1.5k sperately does seem like that he in back of his mind did think that it was haram money for him. Regadrless of he is guilty or not, he knew about it or not least i can say that he did keep his halal and haram money separate.
Just my Opinion.
Re: Muhammad Aamir I Forgive You
I have just been caught shop-lifting. Even though I knew perfectly well what I was doing was wrong, I don't know something suddenly came over me and I did what I did. Please forgive me too
just kidding..
Re: Muhammad Aamir I Forgive You
very impressed by how well-spoken and sensible this kid is. i expected him to be shy and mumble his way through the interview with his head down.
clearly he is exaggerating his innocence and there are many holes in his story (surely salman butt's version would be different)....but either way this is some seriously sad stuff. even if he knew exactly what he was doing, he was still a teenager surrounded by bad influences...a 5 year ban is a guaranteed career killer.
Re: Muhammad Aamir I Forgive You
Look at Micheal vick's (Philly EAGLES new QB) example, did aamir do worst than him.
About Shop Lifting. I know its bad, but yes i have done it. I got some pair of jeans and hoodies years back. I came home felt guilty about it and never even wore em (atleast i dunt remember wearing em). I ended up putting em in box for needy.
Never kept those clothes with my clothes my parents bought me coz i knew i have done wrong.
Everyone deserves a second chance.
Re: Muhammad Aamir I Forgive You
I forgive you too. Now please remain fit and work your way to be back in Pakistan team - as we need you to compensate for your stupidity by winning us many matches.
Re: Muhammad Aamir I Forgive You
He needs to come out and expose everyone... other players.. national and local team management.. bookies.. etc etc etc.
bachay ki jaan lo gay kya?
Re: Muhammad Aamir I Forgive You
While defending street cricket player, lets not go overboard and call all 'english speaking" class as pathetic. Don't forget Saleem Malik, Ijaz Ahmed. There are criminals in all parts of society whether it speaks a particular language or whether it follows a particular religion etc.
I meant jaali *burger class...not the educated civilized and ethically/religiously devoted english speakers. The former take pride in *acting like they are educated while they lack true morals.
Re: Muhammad Aamir I Forgive You

Re: Muhammad Aamir I Forgive You
Muhammad Amir, I don't forgive you.
You are young, choose some other profession. You are and will be a living example for all the cricketers to come.
Hopefully you will burn in hell for selling your country for some worthless piece of paper.

He got tangled up with wrong people right from the start. Butt gained his trust and used his power to manipulate Amir. I so wish he could make a comeback but I really doubt it.
