MSN Messenger keeps disconnecting after every few minutes or so when I’m connected wirelessly on my laptop.
Is it the wireless connection or is it the laptop? This problem is not experienced on the old desktop, which is also connected wirelessly.
This is the problem that I’ve been experiencing ever since I’ve been using my laptop. Now that my sister’s using a laptop as well, she’s experiencing the same problem.
Is there any solution to this problem? Are there others out there who experience the same problem?
I don't get any error message and this problem is only experienced with MSN Messenger. It logs me out itself and logs me back in itself. It happens quite often and is very annoying.
this is strange, to me the best option would be if you have partition on your hard drive then re-install it on the other partion and only install msn messenger no add-ins with that.
I think I can try out your suggestion of reinstalling MSN Messenger all by itself on a new partition.
if you plan to do that, here are the steps
1) un-install the msn messenger.
2) re-start your computer (after the un-installation) and browse net, use other yahoo ..etc and shut down the computer. (dont install msn messenger)
3) re-boot the computer and then install msn messenger on the other partition you have.
do you have the software pm8 (partition magic) I use that utility/software, other option was "fdisk" but since on the laptop I would recomment partition magic.
before doing the fdisking and all the magic with partitioning … why not try and install the older version of MSN (6.2 maybe) and see if it behaves the same way. Have you already tried this? The problem often seems to be with the softwares than hardwares and its more truer in the case of MSN (yah im an Micro$haft basher, sue me )
