MSN issue

I’m new to the world of MSN and last night while chatting with a friend, I get logged out with a message saying that I’ve been logged out as my account has been accessed from another location.

I’m like, ummm what? Highly unlikely. I only have a couple of people on my contact list. I hardly even use that account for anything. Maybe I misunderstood but can someone shed some light on this?

Re: MSN issue

If your chatting on MSN and it get's logged out automatically that means your account is being hacked. Also someone else who knows your password must have logged in that time. So, change your password , your secret question . Also, have you opened your e-mail on laptop,Ipad,Pc?Some computers might have key logger that record each word you type there.

Re: MSN issue

No one else knows my password so I guess it's the other option. And no I have never opened that account from any place other than my laptop.

Re: MSN issue

sometimes when your internet reconnects by itself, it does that

Re: MSN issue

But does it say that your account has been accessed at another location?

Re: MSN issue

^ No, that makes you get logged out straight away rather displaying the option of your account has been accessed at another location. And even it makes you get signed in once your internet connects back. All this happens when your internet was disconnected for only short time.

I would suggest you to change our password and secret question.

Re: MSN issue

Are you connected to your MSN account thorough your phone also?

It did not say you are haccked, it just said that you are connected through another location also

Re: MSN issue

Yes I am. Through Trillian. However it is usually "disconnected" and was most definitely disconnected at the time I received the error message.

Re: MSN issue

I don't think MSN tells you if your account has got hacked, you shall have to find out by yourself.

Re: MSN issue

apple, android, msn. niksik aka chenghis galloping down the mongolian steppe lopping off e-kingdoms one after the other ruthlessly.

i look forward to the day when niksik will be posting linux hacking queries. :p

Re: MSN issue

:hehe:

MSN isn’t exactly clean. I don’t like their page much (yet). It’s confusing the heck out of me :(!

Re: MSN issue

I think you should do what Lippy said..change the password and security questions if you have any...

I had to change my password recently on it...it was the same reason..I also had to change the password to my FB as well because of this issue...

Re: MSN issue

Why are people hacking our accounts? What have we masoom people done :naak:?

Re: MSN issue

^I dnt know…I dnt even have any money :hinna:

Who knows what they are looking for…maybe fo fun…or maybe coz they just CAN!

Re: MSN issue

No one is hacked your account, it happened because the trillion app tried to login you into MSN, the stupid MSN account cant be logged in on 2 devices at the same time. Remove your MSN account from Trillion, then you will never face this problem.

Re: MSN issue

May be, both of you are the most wanted people. :hehe:

Re: MSN issue

^:hehe:

Re: MSN issue

Rayan is right but I believe you can change the settings from msn messenger to keep you logged into multiple places. That way you can see where else you are logged in and choose to logout from other locations from your current location.

Re: MSN issue

you should use gchat instead :<

Re: MSN issue

If you have Windows Live Messenger running click on ur name and (it should show you how many places you're logged into) click on More Options. Go to the Connection link in the left nav bar and it should show you were you might be connected from. you can also put a check in the box "Logging" (and hit apply) and it will start logging your connections (IP address and all).
it gets a bit complicated there, but don't give up.

Enjoy. :D
