Re: Mr.Salman Khan does it again and again…This year aswell!!!
so if we criticize salman we’re being haytuhz? we actually probably are, he’s quite a nuisance.
IMO he does what he does to keep his hindu fan base happy and in check, not cause he’s a peace loving hippy. now leave the superduperfamousbutonlyinbollywood man alone:mad:
Re: Mr.Salman Khan does it again and again...This year aswell!!!
*you are saying he wont be said anything for offering nimaz..? *:D
I know its not proper example but you can think of sania mirza marrying shoaib malik and all of indian media and many of indians were against it. I know its just due to country thing** but again if an actor or actress will do so, he will lose his publicity in india, you know why.** ;)
explain your last sentence...keep in mind i wasn't raised in india :p haven't a couple stars married pakistanis? this is not the first time a cricket star has married somebody from the arch rival country.
well if he does what the nasal singer did wearing a burqa and pretending to be a woman, i would think he's cuckoo to the core but i don't think he would be judged on his hinduness would he? i don't know maybe he would be by the extremist "hindus" like that bal thacerkay mental case but i'm not sure if moderate everyday hindus would even care.
I saw the sania mirza and shoab interview after hearing about them so much here and she was saying that she'll play for india like she always has and she'll always be indian to her dying day so hopefully the indian media got a clue not to question her nationality and her love for her country just cuz she fell in love with a pakistani. :p
btw what's that nasal singer's name again? darn i totally forgot.....it's been a while since i saw him on screen
Re: Mr.Salman Khan does it again and again...This year aswell!!!
Umm FYI
I hope you have not forgotten the fact that Salman Khan's mother is hindu. She may have converted in name..but the Khan residence does have a mandir within it. They have been raised in both religions, hence his affinity for Ganeshji pooja. Should he disrespect his mothers sentiments and religion? It seems that he is a balanced individual who can respect both religions and doesnt seem to have any issues with it..the only ppl who do seem to be the ppl on this forum. Its his life..let him live it the way he wants.
Btw his step mother is christian. His sister in laws are christian/hindu and hindu..and his brother in law is hindu
Just because he has a muslim name..does that make him your property????
I think a better way to put it would be this: Just because he has a muslim name..does that make him muslim????
Re: Mr.Salman Khan does it again and again...This year aswell!!!
Niisha,
I think the nasal singer is Himesh Reshamiyya. He visited Ajmer Sharif wearing a burqa.
@aaho
Hindus prefer to visit Sufi shrines as asking for *dua *is so much simpler there. Offering *namaz *requires one to sit in correct posture and orientation, and there is a definite procedure. Hindus don't want to look ridiculous or hurt any body's sentiments by doing it the wrong way .
Re: Mr.Salman Khan does it again and again...This year aswell!!!
^great, thanks, plus i think he's the biggest drama king out there, i've seen a couple videos of hindus praying in mosques, sufi shrines and it's a beautiful way of promoting a peaceful living with muslims. i don't see them any less hindu b/c a hindu can pray in any place mosque, church, temple, gurudwara b/c the prayers are going to the same God, they still see themselves as hindus, there's been no conversions so what's the problem
Re: Mr.Salman Khan does it again and again…This year aswell!!!
**Devotes from all faiths throng mausoleum of Khwaja Sufi Hassan Shah **
**People of different faiths throng Thaan Peer Baba Mausoleum in J and K **
there are hundreds of videos of hindus, sikhs and people of all faiths offering duas/prayers in the mausoleums, mosques
Re: Mr.Salman Khan does it again and again...This year aswell!!!
Nisha,
Great videos. But most educated members here will accuse these Muslims of committing *shirk. *To them, these are just not real Muslims and are as bad as Hindus. It is unfortunate that most of the educated Muslims from the Indian subcontinent have rejected the syncretic interpretation of Islam ie Sufism, which their own ancestors had accepted, and prefer adhering to the imported Arabic interpretation.

none of the videos is showing muslims praying in front of dieties, that is shirk for them. if you had actually watched the videos, most of them are of hindus, sikhs praying in mosques, shrines and not of muslims praying in temples, and the one video of muslims is of them taking care of a hindu temple in poonch, j&k there is nothing shirk about that, anyways, my point was that there is no such rule for hindus where they must not pray in a church or mosque or do namaz, for me it's whatever way gets a person to feel one with God.......even praying in an open field is fine as long as you feel a connection with God.
Re: Mr.Salman Khan does it again and again...This year aswell!!!
Nisha,
Praying in front of dead people's grave is also shirk even if they happen to be saints. Ask anybody.
There is no point in comparing Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism) with Islam or any other Abrahamic religion. As it is like comparing apples and oranges. Dharmics *believe that there are multiple paths to God. So you can be a Hindu, even if you offer *namaz in a Masjid. Muslims believe "my way or highway". Simple as that.

hmmm i didn't see any muslim praying in front of a dead body, which video did you see that in
Re: Mr.Salman Khan does it again and again...This year aswell!!!
Nisha,
Most of these videos are of Mausoleums, which are built over graves.
Even a Muslim taking care of a Hindu temple is promoting idol worship. So it is *shirk.*I am not a Muslim, but anybody here can correct me, if I am wrong.
I am not criticizing these people. Hindus or Muslims. What they are doing is admirable.
Re: Mr.Salman Khan does it again and again...This year aswell!!!
are you telling me a muslim can't pay his respects to a saint by visiting the masoleum? i really didn't not know that.wow
Muslim can surely pay respect to saints (and other dead) by visiting graves and praying FOR THEM. In fact Muhammad (SAW) has stressed Muslims to Go to graveyards as much as possible to pray for dead and to keep reminding yourself what is the reality of human.
What N3m3sis is pointing to is visiting these graves/tombs and praying for SELF. Asking these dead saints to do a favor/fulfill the need which is off course shirk
Yes. According to the dominant interpretation, especially popular amongst the educated class. Because there is a very thin line between paying respect and praying. The "uneducated" Muslims like those in the video have no problem in following the traditions of their ancestors and identifying themselves as Muslims.
True. But in practice, most of the people who visit any religious place, do it to pray for their own well being or their loved ones. That is why once in a while one reads reports about some Mullah or other attacking and desecrating a Mausoleum. Since he does it to prevent the practice of shirk. It is not considered a major crime.
