MQM have threatens to quit the federal govt again, its been little over a year since the formation of current alliances, i don’t know how many times MQM have threaten the govt and how many time have taken it back.
I guess this time, MQM is bit upset about the success of the Military operation in SWAT and troubled area…
MQM threatens to quit federal, Sindh govts over ANP row

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Sunday threatened to part ways with the Pakistan People’s Party-led coalition in Sindh and at the Centre if the government did not sever ties with what it termed “criminals” of the Awami National Party (ANP).
The MQM demanded the chief of the army staff order immediate action against the ANP, alleging that the ANP leaders were involved in Talibanisation in the province. It claimed that ANP leaders were involved in supporting and sheltering the Taliban in Karachi.
The party alleged that some PPP officials were also supporting the ANP and receiving a share from the land mafia, the drug mafia and arms smugglers to provide a cover to their illegal activities.
The ANP in Karachi led by drug dealers Shahi "Supari" Syed and members of such illustrious organizations like the Pakhtun Action Committee (private pushtun militia) and associated land, tanker/transport mafias are indeed a threat to people of Karachi.
and like other times, how long will it take for MQM to take the threat back, interestingly they have not given any dead line this time, or have i missed it???

These thugs dont want the operation to succeed. They want a hung confrontation that would last, while they carry out the genocide and extermination of Pakhtuns in Karach in the guise of the operation. They dont really care if soldiers die, provided it suits their agenda. ANP should actually pull out of the Govt, that would be a huge blow to Zardari and will make him realize what a big mistake hes made by supporting the MQM terrorists.
The dacoits of MQM are alleging ANP who is supporting anti-Taliban operation in NWFP of Talibanisation of Sindh :rotfl:and for that they want PPP to sever its ties in center :omg: the clown is not learning.
ANP is one of the few 'decent' political organizations with atleast something of a historical legacy and ideology. MQM's political future remains in the hole it chooses to luxuriate in, not ANP.
You know what, these jokers could have risen above this BS of theirs and for once tried to be statesmen, but no..using the national challenge to bolster their own interests..and not political interests mind you, is pathetic and disgusting.

draw connections between taleban-anp/pashtun
find support justification for attacks on pushtun in karachi
but its not just because of some xenophobia..
its to wrestle more control on areas that the pashtun community is active in. transportation for example..
don't worry folks, MQM will remain in Govt. we'll hear of a notification from London claiming "in the interest of the nation, MQM has decided to stay within Govt." or so goes the trend anyways...
ANP will be destroyed from within by the taliban. The problem is, what else will be destroyed with it?

although to be fair to them many in pashtoon community are no less there are criminal networks in their areas, kidnapping and much more but it doesnt mean you create an environment where an ordinary person is a target.

In Karachi, ANP becomes a different animal, as it is allied with some of the most corrupt people in the city. Elsewhere, ANP has been targeted by taliban, while in Karachi talib and criminal elements are taking advantage of the ethnic distrust between pashtuns and mohajirs to further create chaos.
