So, separatists of all stripes should be left alone to do what they please...how odd a statement coming from somebody who feigns concern for the welfare of a united Pakistan.

The reason why I found your statement so funny is this:
There are some idiots like the MQM who want to seperate from Pakistan but they don't have the means or ways to accomplish it. The Taliban do.
The Taliban do have a coherent ideology of extremist islamic ideology and their strategy is to take over areas tell the people to stop shaving, burn movies, beat up women, etc....
Thats how they took over NWFP and Swat and now Buner.
