I have never supported MQM but surprisingly MQM has supported religious tolerence as evident by these facts:

  1. On one side of its offices, there is a shia mosque + imam bargah namely Bu Turab.

  2. On its other side - the place of worship of Ahmedis/qadianis

  3. A few furlongs away in the north west, there’s the taleeghi jamat markaz in Karachi - Madni masjid where people gather in their thousand over the islamic weekend

  4. Next to this masjid is the Aga Khani’s jamat khana!

  5. In south east, there is a christian church.

  6. Further down from there is a Al-hadees mosque!

  7. Few hindus also reside in the area.

MQM can be a good political party if:

  1. It abondons Altaf Hussain
  2. It gets rid of its ethinic agenda
  3. Get rid of the terrorist elements from its ranks
  4. Recruit more and more educated people from all accros the country.

^ very true.... party purely free from all discriminations and hatred ....as PML(n) and PML(Q) and Tehreeqa-i-insaaf etc ....you can differ with thier policies but there is not hatred in them ....

Thanks for your tips but I suggest you focus on reforming the government, military, ISI, MI etc. and Punjab's elite to rid them of corruption, jihadi tendencies, inflated egos, chauvinism, martial race superiority complexes and constant need to lie.

Is the MQM a seperate state?? You make it seem as though your a nation unto yourself and the rest of the country is on its own...
For an intelligent person, you have a very narrow view point..

Yes it did some ethnic cleansing!

But for your information, the ahmedis living just next to MQM's offices are ethinc punjabis and so are the christians. The hindus are sindhi speaking!

Maybe these options sud be considered:

  1. Paint Altaf white with chunna and forbid him from making speeches so he does not scare away ppl.
  2. Punjabis, Pukhtoon, Sindhis, Baluch cease to be what they are, Mohajir ethnicity will automatically cease.
  3. Stop recruiting and training Jihadis (terrorists) that wud stop the flow of arms from our border areas, then reduce our army and spend money on police forces within the country.
  4. Educate the entire country with the message of Jinnah and not that of Maududi/Mma that will root out ethnic and religious differences.

so its not mean that etnic cleansing means actually killed them..also they killed them..but spreading hatred towards punjabis and other provinces is also taasub...regarding ahmedis and hindus...ahmedis are already non-muslims and hindus...your altaf say them brother..as he has 20 years relations with india a nd RAW etc...

Well that's not the case! Whatever MQM did, it never admitted openly! Always accused agencies for its crimes!

Well many sunni punjabies, pakhtoons and balochies are still living within the MQM's headquarters area.

MQM's policies and actions created such an atmosphere in the 80's and early 90's that resulted in ethinic riots in which innocent pakhtoons, punjabies, sindhies as well as urdu speaking people lost their lives and properties.
