**ISLAMABAD, Sept 5: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has called for trial of all dictators who subverted the Constitution under Article 6 and their supporters, “including those from the judiciary”. **
In a telephonic address from London to an Iftar dinner for journalists here on Saturday, he said parliament should have concentrated on resolving basic problems confronting the people instead of wasting months on discussions on Article 6, which deals with high treason.
He rejected allegations that the MQM wanted to set up ‘Jinnahpur’ and said the facts were different from the ‘propaganda’.
He said the people of Punjab should side with the truth and join MQM because it was the only party which could save Pakistan.
He called upon President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to convene an all-party conference on Balochistan to win back the support of estranged Baloch leaders. He also called for formation of a reconciliatory commission on Balochistan.
The Muttahida chief said the government should accept the just demands of Baloch sardars in the larger national interest.
**“We should accept the mistakes committed by us instead of repeating them. The MQM is also ready to accept the mistakes committed by it in the past,” he said. He said the MQM had protested over the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti despite being part of the government. **
**He underlined the need for giving complete autonomy to the provinces and observed that it would strengthen the federation. **
Altaf Hussain said a handful of militants were bringing bad name to the country. He appealed to the Taliban to lay down arms.

Coming back to topic, I think the statement is more of a 'threat' rather than a suggestion. I agree with the statement though, biggest collaborators being Q League and MQM.
People of Punjab would side with MQM once it stops looking at people through ethnic lens.

so I’m not much into Pakistani politics, but I was watching this Altaf hussain guy on the news yesterday and he just looked proper dodgy, like he had been eating way to many paan
