Re: MQM and Karachi - Shoaib Suddle and Tariq Lodhi
Faisal:
If one can not give any reference to a claim then this claim is a lie.
Are you disputing the claim seriously, or just asking a rhetorical question to pass time? Proof will be in the pudding, and we will all see it in the days and weeks ahead. Whether it is true or not, will become clear. :)
Re: MQM and Karachi - Shoaib Suddle and Tariq Lodhi
Hi folks i want to narrate my own experience about MQM.
I was a born and raised in karachi but my parents are Kashmeries and not urdu speaking. While in School my Urdu teacher who was a staunch /hardcore supporter of mqm used to discriminate me caz of my ethnic background and always used to give me the lowest of marks in all internal exams.
By the grace of Allah and dint of hard work i scored the highest marks in external board examinations. When i attended her class after the result was disclosed, instead of congratulating me for my performance she made me stand up and said:
" Ahmad can you explain how you got highest in Urdu and your parents are not even Karachities. Did u bribe the examiner?"
One time she accused me of staring at her . She was in her late 40's and i was only 17 back then.
Another time while lecturing she openly insulted Allama Iqbal and told us that Altaf Hussein is more successful leader compared to Iqbal. She made all class monitors on ethnic basis. A student who was twice our age and member of APMSO student wing was made class monitor.
One time during the Sport Period I picked up a hockey stick for myself and hockeys were always short and we were too many students. It was first come first serve...but these mqm boys harrased me and told me that if i don't give them my hockey stick then they will teach me a lesson and that I should not forget what MQM is...
I have so many other stories but I don't want to bore you guys.

At student level, lot of racism and descrimination goes on. Once you grow up that and enter professional life, you will find people more respectfull to your ethinicity and background at your workplace. Atleast I hope you do not face this kind of racism again. It is unfortunate that we feed our kids with this kind of hatred (race or religion), too bad even teachers involved in it.

What else is in Pakistan...Pehlay apni jaan tou bachao phir doosron ki socho....How many times did you stand up , risk your life, to save someone elses life?
So you think It's just a Pakistani mentality? Think again. And then think If every one is as selfish.
