Re: Moving towards industrialisation and job creation
Sounds good to me...
Mush would have probably been gone a long time ago as no one, particularly not the international community would have supported him...
With or without 9/11 he would have been the same incompetant dictator and it would have been much easier to rid the country of his incompetance...
How about that!?!
I dont know what are you talking about as per my information (and well known fact), Mush had the highest ratings before 911. 911 had hurt him badly. So when you mention one side of the story (development due to 911) I wonder why do you hesitate to tell other side of the story (Mush was enjoying clear majority and people were living happily under his "dictatorship")

Well, let me slow it down...
Musharaf in the begining was popular, but now he is exposed for the incompetant dictator he is..
Musharaf cant change himself... Tigers cant change their stripes right?
Even without 9/11, he would have eventually shown his true colors..
9/11 actually helped extend his support for a short while, but now, its strikingly obvious how incompetant he is..
We say this coming from as far back as when the Baloch problem started.. Slowly, his incompetance lost him more and more support and now we are where we are.
Re: Moving towards industrialisation and job creation
Growth has occured under the other dictators of Pakistan aswell.. And yet its still a developing country.. Read some history for god sake...
Sharam Karo you dictator supporting Pakistan haters...
dude which planet do you live on, the previous growth is nothing as to todays.
we are going throught our best phase ever, tell me when FDI was at $8 billion, it hasnt even touched $1 billion before, LOL
we have never gone through such unprecdented growth before.
so stop your hatred for pakistan we all know you are here just to bash it.

I live on earth...
Pakistan went through its best phase a lot of times... They said the same thing during the Ayub Era... The dictators destroy the economy and then leave it to the elected govts to clean up the mess, which is whats happening again.
Mushraf was just fortunate enough to be around during 9/11 so he could profit from the new space provided by the Americans...
The growth that has occured hasnt helped anyone but the very rich in only a few cities.
If you havent notice, half the population of PAKISTAN is still illiterate, and social indicators are at their worst in ages...
This so called growth has been precedented time and again without any lasting growth..
You know why? Because dictators dont create institutions, they sabotage the country and the economy which is what Mushu is doing all over again.

thats because the growth we saw in ayubs time was the best growth till then.
today the growth we are seeing is higher and better then any period we have seen.
musharraf era has seen a massive boom and strong growth, we are just unfortunate that we had 9/11 that brought situations that slowed this developed and brought terroism, but still booming the economy was heck of a job and hats off to musharraf, for the first time we are seeing instituitions being made, media has become independant and free, judicary for the first time went independant, now its not musharrafs fault these people abuse their freedom.
but what would an anti pak like you know.
Re: Moving towards industrialisation and job creation
Best growth till then!
Mushraf era has been a huge lie… Growth has excluded the majority of Pakistanis… The economy would have faced sanctions and a huge debt if it werent for 9/11… Something that all the elected govt had to cofrnt before Mushu.
Institutions were made, but now they have been destroyed. Media was free only as long as Musharaf liked them… Free media are protected by the constitution, not the whims of a fickle dictator.
Musharaf has no right to define who does or doesnt abuse freedom.. We think its Musharaf who is abusing his freedom.
The Media has a right to a fair trial and so does the judiciary… But Musharaf being the dictator that he is decded for us who is or isnt abusing their powers.
And how do you justify the fact that our social indicators are the lowest in the region? How do you justify the fact that Education is still in crissis after 8 years of being rescued by this dictator?
Re: Moving towards industrialisation and job creation
dude, you certainly dnt live on earth, so i ask the question again, which plant do you live on?
you can laught all you want, well we allready know your a joker, but that wont stop us from beliving your lies, we have seen the best growth economicaly ever in our history and thats the fact.
you keep bringing up 9/11 but your not looking at the terroism aspect it brought, like i said if it didnt happen pakistans image would have been 1000 times better, we would have brought billions and billions of more fdi info the country.
9/11 did not help any debts dude, they just make the sitaution in pakistan worser,
like i said about the media, if they abuse the freedom what can mush do, they crossed their limits and got the daggar, which they desereved, now the free media is back so be happy.
we have many more independant institutions today then ever before.
our education is in crisis , now even the biggest of mush haters have appreciated the improvemnt in education, but ofcourse what would a antipak like you know.
Re: Moving towards industrialisation and job creation
Sohaib what about all the people (not Pakistanis, but international economists) who think that this is just a bubble created by 9/11 aid. Are they BB and NS lovers too?

Re: Moving towards industrialisation and job creation
I can only pray for the actual realization and fruitfulness of these projects. There were "software" parks opening/starting/developing left and right in 90s I don't know where they are now and what is happening there.

It seems like you just woke up in 1999, and everything in Pakistan just materialized with you. Should I name some of the companies that have been exporting software before the nap?
