Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

Something tells me you are being too hard on yourself. Very refreshing introspection - wish most of us were so honest - self included.

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

No prob. Naya payda ho jaye ga.

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

I wouldn't move back and I hope all my relatives were able to leave that place. We are treated like third class citizens there.

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

How were you treated like third class citizens? You got out. Didn't you? That means you had more opportunities than most Pakistanis have. Third class citizens are those Pakistanis who live below the poverty line and barely feed himself. You might have been a second class citizen, and so is every other Pakistani except for the government officials, pirs, waderas, chaudris etc. People who oppress the third class are the ones who get to be on the top.
On the other hand, I do respect your feeling and you have the right to stay away if think you didn't like how you were treated over here. Heck I curse the place everyday, but that's life and I know there people who have it worse, not in some far off place, but right here in my neighborhood.

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

It's been a while since i have been back to Lahore yo!. I gota visit someday...

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

I am scared of the corruption, I don’t want my family to become part of that corrupt system.

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

i dont think i can answer your questions

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

I've lived in Pakistan...in manyy cities due to my fam moving around a lot.

But pay me a million pounds and I will never live there again. I'll go for hols...and when I do its been for max a week.

I love London too much...and water...and electricity...and men not staring at me like I'm the first woman they've seen...lol.

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

Notice how a lot of guys in this thread are saying they would move back, but the girls are hesitant. hmmm.

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

Something both my dad and father-in-law tried but unfortunately it's really really hard for people who have lived in western countries long enough and have worked clean jobs making an honest living. The corrupt and two-faced society in Pakistan is not everyone can survive in. Only few lucky ones maybe. Besides, friends and relatives think it's raining money on you and just want to use you.
Oh in the case of my dad and fil, neither made it out alive.

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

not really. I would be moving back IA. But I have my own reasons.

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

Not surprised. Lol.

Girls become so dependant on others there. Men have all the freedom there!

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

:hehe:

That’s true, but there are simply more facilities and support systems in place in the West, making it much easier for someone to succeed.

I would move back if the political situation was better, and the mindset of the people changed. The mindset cannot come before the country is stable, so for me, it’s mostly about the politics. I do intend to give back to the best of my ability.

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

Tum khana paka lo me khanay a jaon ga.

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

Did you just accuse me of being a sammich making woman? If you’re hungry, you should hit up Khatti. She’ll hook you up if you’re nice :hehe:

As in us living here cook it for you and then you eat the biryani when we've done all the hard work.
Was just trying to mess with you but you didn't get it.

Re: Moving back to Pakistan . .

There are other ways to give back
