Movies and life...

What I don’t understand is, that if you like just one side of a character in a movie or any other story (book, tv film, whatever), why people suddenly say you are comparing yourself to that complete character, while it’s not the case? You compare yourself maybe with only one side of that character of the movie or the book or whatever, you’re not saying you are exactly like that person!

When Pakistani Muslims see a Hindoe character in an Indian movie in a situation or doing something, which is a little bit familiar to something that happened in real life, does that mean that Muslim is comparing him or herself with a complete Hindu? Of course not, only one aspect of something that happened to the Hindoe character in that Indian movie, or something that that character did or said. That doesn’t mean that the Muslim is saying he or she is completely, in every way, in everything, like a Hindoe…

You like a character on tv or in movies, you like certain aspects of that character, maybe you compare certain situations of that character with something that happened to you in a different way. We all do that. That doesn’t mean that we are exactly like those characters on tv or in movies!

There is a difference, real life is different, our own characters and life are different from what we see on tv or in movies.

Just because you like one character in a movie, or one aspect, or just because something in the movie or tv film is a bit like something that someone did to you in real life, and you recognise that little something, doesn’t mean that you are saying you are like the movie or tv film character in every way.

Why do people always twist your words, deliberately or by accident? Always turning something you said into something you didn’t say or mean at all?

Re: Movies and life...

Why don't you tell us which character do you have in mind for yourself. Specific examples will help us see your question clearly. :)

I am waiting for them to make Movie about GupShup!..............:D
