I've heard a lot of good things about this film from Muslims - in fact, I've just ordered it from Amazon. Inshallah I'll watch it next weekend and (if I remember) I'll post here to say what it's like.
yeah, nice moview, we showed this movie here in a local theator for fund raising for our musjid.

No idea, sorry. I ordered a $20 bag from the usa once and had to pay $40 shipping on it :(
I've watched the first hour of the film - I'm pretty impressed by it, though the age is showing a teensy bit.

i advise any one wishing to get this islamic movie to not buy it from pakistan plz i implore u the quality is not good, i bought it from pakistan on vcd and pixelling occurs on the 2nd cd ( @ where the abyssinian king is talking)

great film but watched ages a go
great film - the criticisms I’ve heard are only that they have actors playing some of the companions of the Prophet (saw) although they never show the Prophet (saw) himself of course.
if you like this film, you gotta see Lion of the Desert, and i’m not just saying this because I’m libyan =P

^ Yep 3arabeeya, Lion Of The Desert, depicting life of Omar Mukhtar (played by Anthony Quinn) is also an excellent flick. I have a DVD copy of both

I orderd the dvd from from Pakistan. The quality is excellent! Very good, and it cost Rs300. I really liked the movie. Actually we even showed it in our University theatre, as part of Muslim Students Organization Islam awareness program.
We even talked to teachers that they can give students an extra credit if they watch the movie and write a review. So they agreed and this was a good way to in introduce Islam. Alhamdulilah!
We all need to work hard to improve our image!
There was a documentary on PBS, Muhammad-The Legacy of a Prophet. I have heard that it was very good. If anybody has watched it please let me know about it.
yup, seen it. its good. i disagree with some of the generalizations they make about muslims in america but all in all :k: :k:
