Re: Mothers not breastfeeding their kids
So do I…I don’t feel a working mom or stay at home mom has to justify their choices to anyone. I am working wife and will be a working mom. Is it easy? No. But I do believe every woman has the right to make choices that fit her and her lifestyle. Rabia the poster above said she worked through breastfeeding her son…does it make her a bad mother for pumping at work versus staying home and feeding her son? Or freezing her milk?
I don’t think so.
Also, I don’t know any working mother who misses her child’s birthdays or dumps her kid on someone else so she can run off to work. Never seen one. They will schedule everything around their kids and make them a priority at all times. But that doesn’t get noticed. Because they are going to work none of the hard work they actually pour into their families matters anymore.
There’s nothing wrong with being advanced, non-traditional, modern, working, etc etc etc. I think its about time women stopped feeling guilty for wanting to be simply human beings.
As for BBCD…he/she can vent all he/she wants. It doesn’t mean he won’t get an answer. Venting or posting your opinions on a public forum means you’re open for discussion…all kinds of discussion. If you can post, you can also get a response.
