I saw this video of a guy pranking his mom by telling her that he was addicted to heroin and the mother just went crazy and started hitting him with a belt. What was meant to be a funny video has lead to a serious debate between those who are appalled at the mother’s reaction and those defending her by saying she hit him only because she cares for him. So what are your views on this?

For a mother of a teenager she looks damn good!!!
and I don’t see anything wrong with her reaction. When you hear your child doing something like this of course you’re gonna flip out. Whiny brats.

well…that taught him a lesson…they were speaking Russian…I have a lot of Russian/ Eastern European friends and I’m not at all surprised with her reaction.
I think I would flip out too if I found out that my son is doing HEROIN!!! I don’t know if I would have taken the belt though… 
But yeaa…I understand her…and he is a big boy…I think he can take the spanking for his stupid joke on his mom.

^ it is a guy getting beat up thats why. There was this case of some girl getting a whoopass by her father, who was a judge. There was a lot of hoopla over that

For me, hitting is never ok. I though we were comparing this with the father who literally kept abusing his daughter for music download. That is different from knowing your child is going to throw his life away by doing drugs. And later to learn it was a prank.

If it was my kid, yes I would have wanted to slap him around too.
She didn’t maim him, she is his mother, she gave him life.
If I saw my child doing something that could hurt them in the future, I’d be going ballistic as well.
