Please don't get offended..but I am really, really curious. Is your mom someone's mother in law too? Think before you write or say something. And the way you talk about your MIL, that's unnecessarily rude. Would you tell your own mom to shut her mouth??? Why is it so hard to respect your own husband's mom. If her close relation to your husband means nothing to you, then at least respect her as an elderly lady. Our religion tells us to be always respectful towards our elders.
So what if she gives you unwanted advice, you can politely listen. It wouldn't kill you.
Maybe in your circle all the saas's are churailein and teh bahus are doodh ki dhuli hui farishtein...
sadly I live in the real world where some saas'es are nice and some bahus are bad.
i din say they are churaalein.. i was just sharing the overall feelings of majority of girls... honey if u were really livin in real world u will see torture being inflicted on the bahu rather than the other way around.... not generalizing but stating the facts... a gud MIL is a rare gem these days.

GOOD Lord!!! i wasnt talkin to u .. y r u sooo offended? mostly MIL strt the fight.. in my case also (like all typical cases) she is ALWAYS the one who finds negative point, i never do that.. infact i make sure i jus keep my mouth shut.. and i m not apologetic abt MIL's keepin their mouth shut. if they think before they speak and weigh their words then y wud there be any fights. thank you for remindin me to respect elders.. which i do for ur kind info and she is also elder to me and i know her islamic rites also but that dusnt mean all elders have the rite to say or do mean things. pls read the posts in pages 1-2-3, there are alot of females talkin bad abt their MILs . perhaps u shud fight them too??????? Mall, I have def seen really genuinely sweet MILs who love their DILs more than their own daughters, who speak nicely to them, who really have no ill feelings toward them whatsoever yet their DILs don't do jack around the house and just sit in their rooms all day and try to turn their hubby's against their parents. It really suck when one person really makes the effort and the other is just plain rude.
