Try them first as a husband for three weeks......!!!!
Check their joints, exhuast pipes, mouth smell (Inlet valves) and run them fast on the road. Preferably having rolling pin in hand!!!
Some cars need thorough check up and one has to get under them for full inspection!:p

How about 'are you working', and 'for how long/where/etc'? This one to sort out the 'doctor' who has an MD degree but won't work because he hasn't passed examination/thinks he's too good for the openings available to him/can live off daddy from the doctor who is actually practicing and willing to man up and support a family on his own.

No, I don’t need any MOT advice. I just know of a couple of cases where I wish mums out looking for their daughters had asked a few more smart questions of the ‘doctor’. Sometimes these marriages are hurried and the families don’t know each other that well; and it really stinks for the daughter when she finds out her doctor hasn’t passed his examinations and hasn’t worked in the field since graduating 5+ years before.
