Remember you don’t have to list a match but a situation. Chronological order is not necessary, so list anything that comes to your mind.
I’ll start with Bangalore test during 2005 series when Pakistan needed to win the last test to level the series. Last pair of Balaji and Kumble was playing and time was running out for Pakistan.
I remember last year or 2 years ago where we lost to India in Karachi, we needed couple of runs off couple of balls, I forget what series but Shoaib was batting along with someone else..(maybe Razzaq) anyone remember?

one of the best ODI games played. Pakistan chasing a target of 350+ lost the game by 3-4 runs in the end. Inzi scored a brilliant century which was not good enough. At one point Pakistan was winning the game with few overs left but an outstanding catch of Shoaib Malik by Kaif took the match away from Pakistan. Truely awesome game!
1986 Bangalore Test: ( Iqbal & Tauseef's Match 1st ever Test series win on Indian soil )
1999 Chennai Test: ( Saqlain's & Sachin's Match )
1999 Calcutta Test: ( Pak 1st Inning 26/6 in 9 overs & Moin Khan Rescue , Sachin's Runout colliding with Shoaib & Crowd trouble then total silence in an empty stadium eventually won by Pakistan ) ,
1986 Sharjah ODI: ( Miandad's Last Ball SIX )
1987 Lahore ODI: ( Qadir's SIX , Walsh came in to bowl, Jaffer started to back up, running even before Walsh had come close to the bowling crease. Walsh stopped, looked at the batsman and warned him. Under the laws of the game at that time, which have subsequently been changed, Walsh did not need to warn Jaffer, and he could have just run him out. However he did not do so. Richards was seen lying on the ground, perhaps cursing Walsh for why he did not go ahead and run Jaffaer out. Crowd came in to lift Qadir up on their shoulders, For Walsh's sportsman spirit, the Pakistan cricket board gave him a special emblem, which he received not at the end of this game, but much later.
1992 Aukland ODI: ( Inzi's Match , Pakistan were 4-140 Chasing 262 )

i have this faint memory of a india-pakistan match when i was a kid. pakistan made an incredible score of around 315-320 (in those days) and india were chasing, it got so dark, but umpires still let play continue
indias tailenders were batting, kept missing and running, and moin khan kept missing...when balls went into the outfield, couldnt even see it...india won that game but it was very close and it seemed after pakistan posted that score, India would crumble
My earliest memory of a tense match was at Edgbaston during the 1975 world cup. I was at the ground and the Windies last pair made 99 runs to win the match. The torture of sitting and watching victory slip away form our hands was one I still remember to date.
The Sharjah Miandad six one, awesome match and the tension was unbelievable, was listening the commentary on radio and as Miandad hit the six the commentators voice got drowned in the noise and for a few seconds I was not sure what had happened. The tension was killing.
1982 Enlgand V Pakistan at Lords last day England steadily batting out the day to draw the match. In the end 13 overs were left and England were about 75 runs ahead when they all got out. As Pakistan tried to get those runs and the rain threatened to come down, i could not bare to watch it. In the end Pakistan won and the skies opened up about 5 minutes later. What a match.
'92 semi-final had everything. Both teams were in the game until the six by Moin Khan. When IK started getting smacked in last overs...I was like crap...here we go again, but Pakistan came back really well. Raja and Imran lifted the team and than it was all Miandad and Inzamam. I wasn't sure that Inzi would do it, but man to see a youngster at that moment....who performed in that manner. You still get chills...moreover, the running between the wickets by Miandad...salim malik and akram wicket...the end was perfect...crowd was at its best.
How come noone has mentioned the tense 1-wicket test win over Australia in 1994 (? Karachi) where the last pair (Inzi and Mushtaq) put on 58* to win the game?
Also our highest successful run chase in a one-day international, 319/7 against India at Ahmedabad in 2005 with victory coming off the last ball of the 48th over (48-over game)
For me Sharjah 86 and WC SF 1992 (I was watching it with my cousin and we had practically given up hope at 4 down for 140. Then I went upstairs to pray a few nawafil and the rest as they say is history) will always top the list.
And don't forget we were 25/2 in WC Final 1992 and Miandad was plumb LBW on atleast one occasion (the otherone was close but not stonedead) Had Bucknor raised his finger then and Imran's catch been held by Gooch we would have been 70/4 (instead of 70/2) at the half-way stage and you can all rest assured that we would have been bundled out for 150-175. But as they say luck favours the brave and we hit back strongly scoring 179 in the last 25 overs and then those two crucial wickets by Akram in successive balls effectively ending England's resistance
early 90's Sharjah match , don't remember the exact match
but one think i have in my mind
west indies batsman was batting , 9 wickets were down, one run was required , waqar was bowling at his full pace , the thin waqar bowled the batsman and we won the match
and second
sharjah match between sirlanka and pakistan pakistan was out on 187 and srilanka was 150 for 1 or 2 and then suddenly razak came and took wickets one after the other and match was tie
