Re: Most Persecuted Religions in History
Ekalavya’s thumb incident was not because of his caste read the Mahabharata for the real story. The story of Shambuka is of dubious origin according to scholars. Manusmriti is not a religious book. None of the smritis are. They are only valid if backed by the vedas (Shrutis) and can be modified to benefit the people. Open a separate thread on the smritis that is a diff discussion altogether . Smritis not backed by vedas are sort of similar to your weak hadiths and not relavent . Smritis were the constitutions of the kingdoms and could change from time to time.
Rama embraced Guha - a dalit. Sita and her children found refuge in the household of valmiki another dalit. Vyasa the man who composed the mahabharata and divided the vedas into the 4 parts was a dalit woman’s son. Lord Krishna was a Yadava which is considered as a backward caste today. Come on man, read for your self, don’t just accept propaganda.
Actually we are not discussing weather hinduism support persecution of dalits or not but weather dalits were persecuted or not…
Cant same logic be applied to islam?
