I also believe Jadunath Sarkar and KS Lal. Also the records kept by al-Utbi, Mahmud al-Ghazni’s secretary, in the Tarikh-i-Yamini document several episodes of bloody military campaigns.

And your “conversion due to Hindu caste system theory” flies out through the window when you look at Caste system among South Asian Muslims - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Hindus who converted to Islam were not completely immune to persecution due to the Caste system among South Asian Muslims in India established by Ziauddin al-Barani in the Fatawa-i Jahandari.,[SUP][9]](Muslim conquests in the Indian subcontinent - Wikipedia)[/SUP] where they were regarded as an “Ajlaf” caste and subjected to discrimination by the “Ashraf” castes*.*

We have a separate thread on caste system and Islam. You are welcome to give your inputs there

BTW There are many historians, who support caste system as one of the major motivating factor for conversion.
