Nisha,do not confuse yourself with Afghan Taliban and Pak Taliban.Ofcourse the T.T.P is getting support from Afghan Taliban and there is not doubt about it.but they will are not in a position to launch a grand scale of offensive against a force that’s one of the largest forces in the world. The Pak army can not and will nost side with T.T.P in any such move and T.T.P simply does not have any kind of resource,as I mentioned above, to take over Islamabad. To take over a country ,there needs to be logistical,financial,and arms and ammunition assistance that too ina very large scale.

In Afghanistan the entire picture was different.There were a myriad number of warring factions.The capital Kabul itself was changed hands several times.It was easy for Taliban to take over Kabul with the help of I.S.I and others.

You don’t need huge moden fighting force to take over a country, with less than one third of the population strongly supporting a cause, they can take over. In all these countries where we are seeing agitation today, not even 20% population came to street. If Taliban comes to power in Afghanistan and say local militants lead agitation and bring 20 % population to street and they fight pitched battle with government, the result would not bode well for Pakistan. All the hate Pakistanis have today for India and American (hate for america is two fold, NWFP for being anti-Phustun, rest for being pro-India), their best option is go into induced coma about Kashmir and heal the wounds get back and see what happens. (it’s actually done in medical practice to cure some severe trauma cases).
