Most people find it annoying because of its preachiness. And the fact that Robinson Crusoe is a jerk adds fuel to the annoyance. Besides this, Daniel Defoe’s decorated but mightily elaborated language at times can make you feel exhausted. But still, it’s a must read…it teaches you patience and perseverance.

right, thanks for explaining. was interested in its classic island life of a lonely man which someone mentioned. will read for sure.
