My father's father would give nick names to everyone. He called our family priest Robinson Cruso. For the priest had a flowing beard.

Most hated books?

I don’t think I can ever ‘hate’ a book :hmmm:

Re: Most hated books?

How about ‘Satanic verses’?

Re: Most hated books?

I think I know reason for 2nd one, but what about first and third?

I can get annoy with that but no can’t really hate :bummer:

Re: Most hated books?

you would be surprise to know which book is most hated.

Re: Most hated books?

Is it Quran?

Re: Most hated books?

Quite diplomatic. PA se to nahin aai aaj? :asa:

How do you distinguish annoyance and hate, when it comes to a book (its contents)?

Re: Most hated books?

I believe so.

But equally loved.

Re: Most hated books?

taubah astaghfar

Re: Most hated books?

maybe not.
But only by few individuals. I think.

Re: Most hated books?

There are reasons for that. We didn't convey actual message properly.

As far as love part is concerned, I think it is respected and kept separate on higher corners of Muslim families (at least in Indo Pak). To claim love for the book, we have to go so far.

Re: Most hated books?

ye konsi book ka naam hai? :hmmm:

Re: Most hated books?

well I have to be more careful speaking about it.
Its hated by few, evangelist types. And by organized Orientalist, who put centuries of efforts to discredit it.

Both kind know the book, me or you explaining it to them wont make any difference.

I think You can neglect my initial response.

Its not most hated.

Re: Most hated books?

I can understand, lets say its not most hated, but most misunderstood book.

Re: Most hated books?

no. not exactly even that.
Its very funny business.

closest I can think of is, you know how people had no doubts about different prophets, their characters ? Yet they went to any length to torture them, discredit them.
Its was not a intellectual or scholarly exercise, its was almost some one put them on that job.
I get same feeling about such people now a days, describing quran.
