Are there any evil women, whose evilness can’t be described in simple and easy to understand language. :faizy:

Re: Most Evil Women in History

^ just to add, I remember in Chennai, there are some who worship Ravana.

Ravana was not a bad person. He never did "molest" Sita. Treated her with respect. He wore his emotions on his sleeve. He had two brothers. Vibheeshana abandoned him and crossed over to enemy ranks after advising Ravana to give up Sita. His other brother Kumbhakarna - the guy who loved to sleep, stood by him. He reprimanded Ravana for his acts. Ravana asked him - so are you abandoning me. To which the sleeping giant responded - of course not, I wil die for you.

So Kumbhakarna is my favorite character in Ramayana. But I digress - and will stop!

Re: Most Evil Women in History

Yes am Sinhalese…

I dnt think if we take him as Hitler of SL - as far as I know we take it as a legend …though they do say that top tip of SL and India, where I have circled on the map below is where Ram built the bridge to Sri Lanka to bring Seeta back…

Actually I only studied in SL till I was in 4th grade…so I dnt know too many facts…

(But I remember the last Indian guy who came upto me and asked me why we worship Raavan, I asked him back “Which ignorant idiot told you that?”, and he pointed to his friend :cb: )

Muqawee - no nothing like that!

Hattori San, that means “I did not know that” in your native Japanese - in response to the Punjab/Haryana polyandry post!

Re: Most Evil Women in History

Worshipping as god or what? Beacuse we know there are people who worship Satan for gaining evil powers.

Re: Most Evil Women in History

Re: Most Evil Women in History

To the best of my knowledge, they worship Ravana as God. Ravana I dont think was evil. And since he died in the battlefield, I believe he is in the abode of the brave.

Re: Most Evil Women in History

You wanna say that he was 'Shaheed' of that era?

Re: Most Evil Women in History

^ I meant to say, it can be assumed he is in the abode of the brave. (I have no idea what I believe!)

Re: Most Evil Women in History

Exactly! He died a brave man's death - fought gallantly till the end.

Re: Most Evil Women in History

some say, ravana was brahmin…

it is said that he gave sermon to ram before his death…

As far as polyandry in punjab is concerned

Re: Most Evil Women in History

How about SIL of Sohni (Sohni Mehwal), who put Kacha ghara that lead to death of Sohni.

Re: Most Evil Women in History

Zulekha (from Hazrat Yusaf (A.s) waqya).....does she come under this category for plotting the evil ideas?.

Re: Most Evil Women in History

Yes she comes under this category. Her character as defined in Quran is limited to plottting of evil ideas and then accepting that before the ruler of the country (after Hazrat Yousuf freed from prison subsequent to telling meaning behind the dream that annoyed the rule for many nights).

The story tellers took her charcter to next level and say that she was then married to Hazrat Yousuf afterwards.

Nice point. Other women with evil charcters mentioned in Quran are: Wives of Hazrat Nuh and Abu Lahab.
