What do u think is most effective drug or therapy for acne?
I have tried…all Benzyperoxide creams with 2 percent anti biotics…acne aid bars and washes…but they dont work good on me
A friend of mine , recommended me Accutance…she used it herself..and it worked on her. But I have heard that its dangerous and people get suicidal by using it.
i know a few people who have gone onto "roaccutane" and the difference ive seen in their skin using this is amazing... ive seen them use proactive before but nothing worked as much as this... my sis is prolly gonna go onto this too
*Roaccutane, or oral isotretinoin, also a derivative of Vitamin A, is the gold standard in the treatment of acne. Prescribed only by dermatologists, it is mostly used for severe forms of acne only, as it has a number of significant side effects. Generally, a six-month course is prescribed, and involves taking a tablet or two each day. The side effects from Roaccutane are the main problem with treatment and include; dry skin, dry eyes, dry lips, cracked lips, hair loss, mood changes, and liver function abnormalities. Pregnancy must be completely excluded during treatment with Roaccutane, as it is known to cause serious birth defects. *
1- Keep skin dry. Wash face with cold water as much as possible.
Use fresh towel everytime.
2- Avoid sun exposure or activity in sun. Don't get sweaty.
3- Eat simple non spicy and non- fatty meal. Fruits and vegetables are good in significant amount of meal.
4- Sleep well. regulate your timings.
5- Try to take things lightly. Stress is a factor.
6- Use antibiotics such as tetracycline or erythromycine. By mouth or in cream form. Accutane has many side effects use with caution.
7- Do not watch stimulating movies or stuff . ( U know what I mean) Its about hormones also.
Women can use contraceptive pills to regulate hormones.
8- If acne pops clean it right away. Infection spreads.
Thats like one whole bunch of suggestions...I get acne when i am stressed and also when i eat meat , fish, pickles, Olives, Ice cream, cheese, Nuts, Peanut butter, Butter, Puddings....and Yes..................
Its gets real bad when i talk to my mom on phone!
i am on antibiotics called solodyn, and m also using Duac (AM) and Differn 3% ( PM)...all are prescription only. but let me tell... they are working great for me...everybody noticed a different within the first two week.
even the dr. was socked at my follow up apt...and said this combo is working well for me. n told me once my face is all cleared, i can stop taking the antibiotics or take them only when i need them (like a week before my periods since thats when i seem to break out).
so talk to u dermatologist. and ask abt these products.
U're derm wud be the best person to answer all u're queries..people here can suggest what worked for them..but everyone has diff degrees of acne and everyone has diff skin-textures and type.

I see your point and agree.:)
But none of these advises is impossbile. One or two may work better than others after trial. Your choice of food item says a lot too. Avoid the item most probable for short time.
There comes a time when acne is very active. Mostly with early adulthood, change in life, sexual hyperactivity etc. This time of 'flare up' does go away.
I've been on Accutane for past 4 days. It's way too early to tell if it's working or not (I am seriously truly hoping and praying that it does without leaving me with any side-effects INSHALLAH) and I'm using Tazorac topically once every night. Will update on how everything goes one after a few days.
i think in my case , acne is due to lack of sleep or irregular sleep patterns and stress.
so try avoid stress ..relax and chill.
Eat healthy food.
dont try everything on you just for the sake that someone has tied and it worked for them.
Consult your GP on regular basis
Do exercise regularly .Join some gym its better for winter.
Don t worry about ur Love.
if u love sum 1 let dem go if day cum bk its ment 2 b.
cheers
Please don't use anything on u're face untill u consult a derm, acne medicines are pretty potent and shud be used correctly.. don't use anti-biotics without a prescription either!
Let a professional asses u're skin and suggest a regimen for u and what medicines to use.. acne medicines (creams/gels) can't all be used together either...there are some that u have to leave a gap of 2-3 days before using another.
U may apply a paste made out of neem and mint leaves though..

Accutane has dangerous side effects. Could effect liver and my younger brother who used it got pyschologically very depressed....and then doctor told him stop the treatment. Acctance can make you suicidal but then again lots of people have good experience with it.
it depends on your skin type: normal, dry, oily, combination... and what kind of acne your're getting: there are various types of acne...
it could also be a hormonal problem ..which is most often the case
consult your doc first -- who will probably refer you to a dermatolgist.
if its hormonal - they might put you on a birth control pill...(which your desi mom will probably freak out about)..ive been on b.c. and it did get rid of my acne, but my weight did fluctuate a bit...as well as my mood lol
they may tell you to go on acutane - DO NOT. its reallyyy harsh - physically, emotionally - just wrong.
make sure you take off your makeup every night, wear non-comodgenic makeup (mineral makeup), and wear SUNSCREEN, although some sunscreens make u break out - you can get non comodgenic sunscreen - and also you can get face primers wtih SPF that are non comodgenic.
