What’s been one of the most amusing incident at your wedding or maybe someone else’s you have attended?
My wedding was held on a Sunday so alot of people had work the next morning. Some aunties called my mom to complain how we served dinner so late and they left without eating anything Alot of appetizers were served by the way so I am sure noone left completely starving.. but anyway, so my mom felt all bad about it. A couple of months later when my wedding video came and we were watching the Dinner part of it, we saw a few of the aunties, who complained they left without eating, getting dinner and quite enjoying it Maybe they thought a second dinner was gonna be served? Yeah, my mom doesn’t feel so sad about it anymore but she’s like koi baat nahi.. some people just need to make drama out of anything. The funniest was when one of those aunties came over to our house and my sister put on the wedding dvd on purpose and fast forwarded it to the dinner part… her shocked expressions were priceless My mom got upset at her later but it was so worth it.
Thats not nice. Even if I were a guest at such a wedding where I would need to leave before the food was served, I wouldn't complain about it. U should invite these lovely aunties round to view the video, and then ask them if they enjoyed the biryani or if it was too spicy for them?
aww, i feel these aunties always have to complain about everything. When my cousinbro was gettting married the aunties from the girls side started complaining about how his mehndi was too late and bla bla.. and the reason it was late was because THEY CAME too late. rolling eyes.. Ive noticed some people are out too make a bad atmosphere at others weddings/parties.
anyhow, when the girls mehndi was the day after we went on time, but THEY werent even ready and kept everyone waiting for ages.
no matter how extravagant ur wedding is= and how everything goes perfect- theres always going to b ppl / aunties who will always talk about it- this is desi mentality and it will NEVER change =)
Thankfully not a single person complained about anything on my weddinG except my dad on the valima cuz everything was getting delayed. Infact everyone complimented my family about everything, which was great. One amusing incident on the day of the wedding was while I was on the stage a lil girl probably around 13 yrs old was on the stage practically the whole time taking pics of me on her cell phone. I didn't even know who she was. I told my husband and he was just laughing. Weirdos...
barat: my family forgot to send the driver to get me from the house where i and khala were waiting anxiously… its only when all the guests had arrived and it had been forever before ppl actually realized, abbay we are at a wedding and the bride isnt here.. only then did my dad send for the driver.. that was not intresting.. ppl enjoying my wedding so much without me
ruksathi time: we had a couple of my husbands white danish friends visiting pakiland for the first time and it was their first desi wedding too.. so during ruksathi time, a couple of heejras came and started to dance.. everyone got too bz saying bye bye to me and sending me off that the goray were left unattended… the poor guys were seen dancing , or tryin to imitate the desi tumkhay of the heejras thinking it was a part of the wedding entertainment. my brother told them that no its not like that but the goray guys still thought it was so much fun and continued to dance with the heejray.. the amount of effort the goray put in the desi tumkhay, i think the heejray should have paid them!
My brother got married. Every one was discussing what song we should select when bride enters/walk and sit next to my brother.
Bride's brother suggested "aaj na choron ga tujhy dam dma dem"
when we were at a birthday party my sister and i saw a wedding thing going on and my sister told me to ask the bride if she can take a picture with her
she said yes and when we got back to the birthday party and showed our cousins they started laughing
at my wedding, my two cousins, 5 and 6, were going to be flower girls. i had ordered white flower pomanders they could hang from their wrists instead of mini bouquets to carry down the aisle. of course, both of them yanked out the ribbons from the pomanders in all of 5 seconds of getting them, and ended up carrying them down the aisle like soccer balls, tucked under one arm! funniest pictures ever! in one of them, the 6 year old is actually holding it with both hands in front of her, as if she's about to throw it up and kick!

on my wedding day my friends insisted on doing the milk rasam(where the guy drinks it n then the girl drinks it n then the guy gives money to siter, cousins, friends) So they were asking my husband for money n he was making excuses.n in this argument he accidently spilled some milk on my lengha. Now everyone not only laughed but they were like"oh now u ruined the brides dress.money for drycleaning plz"
